First past the post over hurdles at Ayr and Kelso in February/March 2017, but well beaten in three subsequent starts that year. Well handicapped on his old chase exploits, but probably best watched on his return from over 2½ years off the track.
Hasn't always been straightforward, but has found his niche over fences, rising a total of 19lb in the weights for wins over C&D (soft) and Wetherby (2m5½f, good) in March. Has had wind surgery since latest win, and should have more to offer.
Ran as if badly in need of the run on his reappearance, but has now dropped to the mark off which he won at Haydock (2½m) last spring, and would be a danger to all if back to that form. Market useful.
Chase record at this track reads 112122, and he won this race last year. Ran up to his best when 2¼ lengths second of 6 to Calivigny here last time, and sure to make a bold bid once more.
Landed a handicap hurdle at Warwick in March (2m5f) and jumped well when taking a novice handicap on chase debut at Musselburgh last time. Respected given unexposed profile, but had run of things there, and needs to progress if he's to follow up.
Quite a useful chaser for Henry de Bromhead, but on the decline now, and proved disappointing for Dr Richard Newland over hurdles. Fared no better on debut for current yard last time, and hard to support now despite declining mark.

Flowery was in fine form in the spring, and is a danger to all if ready to go after an absence which has included wind surgery, but with fitness guaranteed, preference is for PROTEK DES FLOS, who shaped well over an inadequate trip on debut for Ben Haslam. Instant Replay has a great record over fences here, and should be on the premises again.
