Four-race maiden who produced a career best effort to finish fourth of 13 beaten 5½L in a Tramore 2m handicap hurdle on New Years Day. Can be expected to improve.
Sent off at big prices in a number of starts over hurdles since November before running accordingly on each occasion and unlikely to be making a significant impact in this contest.
Best performance for sometime to finish fourth of 15 in a Down Royal 2m1f handicap hurdle on St Stephens day. More progress possible.
Yet to hit the frame in four career starts over hurdles so far. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Sent off at big prices (100/1 on last two starts) in three career efforts over hurdles before running accordingly on each occasion. Hasn't looked a winner in waiting recently.
Distance winner produced an improved effort tyo finish second of 13 beaten 10L in a 2m handicap hurdle at Limerick over Christmas. Could well still have more to give.
Course winner that has also won over this trip. Winner of three of his 23 starts over hurdle the veteran may need a few to falter before landing a blow.
Has hit the frame on just one occasion from 11 starts over hurdles. Needs to improve significantly to play a part in the finish in this contest.
Early promise of runs earlier in the year appeared to level out in a couple of starts in October/November. No reason not to show improvement in first-time cheekpieces.
10-race maiden over hurdles. Not disgraced in a number of starts last year on the Flat. Could be a lively outsider on return over timber.
Poor number of efforts so far over hurdles in five starts over timber last year. First time blinkers unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow here.
Forecasts
Vitudurum (3/1), Mattie's Mountain (7/2), Still Alive (4/1), Walkers Point (8/1), She's Commanche (9/1), De Bennette (10/1), Working Capitol (14/1), Fly Round The Bend (14/1), Analyse That (33/1), Punches Pious (33/1), Silvretta Schwarz (50/1)
Winner of two of his 25 starts over hurdles, STILL ALIVE can build on a couple of promising runs on the Flat and over hurdles since October to win for the third time over timber. The six-year-old appeared to 'bump' into one at Limerick over Christmas finishing 10L adrift of the winner in the 13 runner field but 13L ahead of the third. Vitudurum fourth behind Knockraha Boss at Tramore on New Years day and Working Capitol in first-time cheekpieces can provide the stiffest opposition. The Adrian Murphy-trained She's Commanche and De Bennette should not be taken lightly while an improved run from Fly Around The Bend would not surprise.
- Still Alive
- Vitudurum
- Working Capitol
