A Listed winner on the turf and unbeaten in two starts on the AW. Authoritative 2L winner in good-looking Lingfield handicap (1m) on New Year's Eve and looks tough to beat in this company.

Very much a solid performer at this track, winning over C&D in October, but showed aptitude for various AW surfaces with success at Wolverhampton (1m1f) last time. 4lb rise means he's pitched into toughest company yet.

Largely struggled for form on turf towards the end of the flat season but was a good third over 7f here before registering success at Southwell (7f) on New Year's Day. 1m has looked to stretch him however.

Tends to thrive over this C&D, including this time last year. Fared better than the result suggested when 3L eighth behind Another Touch at Chelmsford (1m) on comeback effort. Needs to find a little bit more.

Solid performer at this level, winning 1m handicap at Kempton on penultimate start and wasn't disgraced in Listed race (1m) at that venue last time out. Replication of that form should see him go close.

Forecasts

Another Touch (6/4), Via Serendipity (3/1), Raydiance (10/3), Home Before Dusk (6/1), Trevithick (16/1)

Verdict

ANOTHER TOUCH has shown to have a touch of class in his system in the past and the switch to these type of surfaces has revitalised the seven-year-old. His success was even more impressive then previous victories last time out and sets the form standard off level-weights with his rivals. Via Serendipity took his form to another level when not beaten far in Listed company last time but may need a sharper type of contest, while Trevithick wasn't beaten far by the selection last time when entitled to need the run and could be a dark horse.
