Half-sister to fair chaser Sweet Destination (3m2f winner), picked up for relatively small money and best watched on first outing at the track.

£56,000 was first-time-out winner in a bumper at Towcester in April 2018, before missing a spell and then chasing home pair of subsequent winners over 2m3½f here on hurdles bow here 11 months ago. Second wind op since; one to note here.

Returned from a break to be second in a Mares' Maiden Hurdle over 2m3½f here in November (form not overly strong); she will likely have to improve coming back in trip but will handle the forecast ground.

A 52-rated Flat maiden after 12 starts, she was best at around 1m4f. Unlikely to play a significant part on hurdles debut.

Ask filly. Dam unraced half-sister to useful hurdler/high-class chaser (stayed 3m2f) Snoopy Loopy. Failed to complete in 2-3 starts in Irish point-to-points. Trainer's runners tend to go well here.

20/1
Took a step forward on third start when runner-up in a Plumpton bumper (2m1½f, heavy; 25-1) last month. Interesting to see if further progress is forthcoming now going over timber.
Twice a winner on the Flat in Ireland last spring (7f/1m); out of form more recently however and makes hurdling debut on first outing new trainer.

Forecasts

Easter Gold (4/9), Destinee Royale (5/2), Lemon Hill (14/1), Sei Bella (20/1), Givepeaceachance (25/1), Blazing Destiny (66/1), Meryems Way (66/1)

Verdict

Easter Gold returned to action by finishing second in a similar event over further here in November and should have claims. The form of that race isn't strong however and preference is for DESTINEE ROYALE, who was third here in February last on hurdles bow. The pair that beat her have won all four completed starts since and she can go well fresh over this shorter trip. Sei Bella looks next best with possibly more to come.
  1. Destinee Royale
  2. Easter Gold
  3. Sei Bella
