Generally in good form since August 2019, placing in six starts in a row before poor 38L last of six at Sedgefield (2m5f) early last month. Down 1lb in the handicap and can be forgiven for that effort.

Was in good form at the start of 2019, landing handicap chases at Exeter and Taunton but out of form the last twice, including pulling up at Taunton (2m2f) last time. Needs a bounce back now.

Last win came nearly a year ago now and well-held in three starts this term, including 18L fourth over 2m3f here on latest start. Back down in trip but of interest when lower in the handicap.

Inconsistent sort at the moment who put up fine third-place finish at Lingfield (2m) two starts ago before 23L defeat at Ffos Las (2m) last month. Will need to be on a going day to go close.

Had previously looked a little bit out of sorts but well-suited by wind surgery, winning at Wincanton (2m) before running to that mark when second at that venue over 2m4f. Leading claims back at this trip.

Not in the best form since returning from mammoth absence, including when 35L last of six at Leicester (2m4f) last month. Plenty to prove at this trip if retainng any ability.

Forecasts

Verdict

Since wind surgery DUC KAUTO has been on an upward trajectory, going up 11lb in the weights since the start of October. That has seemingly rejuvenated him and looks tough to beat for a yard in solid form. Twasn't The Plan was poor at Sedgefield last time out but merits respect on his placed efforts before that but giving weight all-round is set to be tough, while Dorking Cock ran well enough for a long way to suggest he could be booked for minor honours in what looks a weak race.
