Usually campaigned at 5f and both wins have come at minimum distance. Only beaten one horse home in last three starts and eased 4lb after finishing last here (after slow start) in November. Has plenty to prove at present.

Landed Leicester 7f seller on quick ground in the summer but handled this surface well when failing by just half a length to score here last time over 7f, tiring ate on. Drop back to 6f looks right move and won't be far away.

Dual Yarmouth 6f handicap winner last summer and fair second in Kempton AW h'cap on penultimate start in October. Made favourite last time on first start after break but finished unplaced. Tries Fibresand for first time and is not out of it.

Stayed on to land narrow C&D success in claimer penultimate start and fair fourth of 14 in 7f h'cap here last time. Back to optimum trip for yard going well at present and should make presence felt if enjoying first-time blinkers.

Recorded second C&D victory when staying on well last time to score by a head off 2lb lower mark. Every chance of following up and has impressively finished in frame all nine runs here at this trip.

Failed by only a head to catch Liamba penultimate start and now better in at weights. Not so good last time at Wolverhampton but seems to enjoy it here and can give another good account of hmself.

Our Charlie Brownp17
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-1| J: Phil Dennis| T: D C Griffiths| OR:  64
12/1
Six-time winner for Tim Easterby prior to making debut for new connections here last time when 5th behind Liamba on first start for nearly two months. Should be better for that run but will do well to break AW duck.

Forecasts

Al Suil Eile (9/4), Global Hope (4/1), Liamba (9/2), Global Melody (5/1), Bedtime Bella (11/2), Our Charlie Brown (12/1), Eternal Sun (25/1)

Verdict

LIAMBA loves it here and showed a good attitude to get the better of Global Melody last time. She can confirm placings despite bing slightly worse off at the weights. The first-time blinkers may help Bedtime Bella who won a C&D claimer here on her penultimate start and wasn't disgraced when fourth at Wolverhampton last time, while both Al Suil Eile and Our Charlie Brown also come into the reckoning in a very tight-knit affair.
  1. Liamba
  2. Bedtime Bella
  3. Al Suil Eile
