Solid and consistent sort on this surface winning on four occasions from eight starts. Better than his last run over 1m at this venue last month and worth another chance stepping up in trip.
More needed from a disappointing effort at this track last month over 1m2½f. Yard have produced six winners in the first week of the year at this venue since 2017 together with a 42% win and place strike rate.
Solid and consistent mare who keeps on defying the odds, landing a four-timer at the track in the last 12 months. Respectable effort at this venue since returning to action last month and a live player in this contest.
Winner of one of his nine starts over C&D proceeding to hit the frame on a further six occasions. Another solid run appears to be very much on the cards.
Tough and genuine mare winner of two of her three starts over C&D but out of sorts in a couple of starts since November. Yard boast a 45% win and place strike rate in the last four years at this venue in the early part of January.
Sole win gained in 2017 and out of her depth in Listed class at Cork and Limerick in October before a couple of efforts when well held here since November. Needs to show more sparkle before any faith is placed in her.
Genuine sort who has hit the frame in four of his 10 starts over C&D. Possibilities if anywhere near his form when fifth of 14 beaten 5½L over C&D last month.
11-race maiden. Pleasing start to her career on this surface last month finishing fifth of 14 beaten 4L over C&D in a 14 runner handicap. More progress possible and not dismissed.
Forecasts
Sheisdiesel (11/4), Theobald (7/2), King's Vow (7/2), Nimitz (6/1), Miss Snossyboots (15/2), Itsalonglongroad (10/1), Guinevere (16/1), Shekiba (16/1)
The Noel Meade-trained SHEISDIESEL won a similar contest over C&D in March last year off a 5lb lower mark beating 10 rivals 1¼L. The six-year-old has continued to run in a solid and consistent fashion and can win for the third time over C&D at the expense of the Charles O'Brien-trained, C&D winner Nimitz and the Joseph O'Brien-trained King's Vow with the yard boasting six winners in the first week of the year at this venue since 2017 together with a 42% win and place strike rate. It would not surprise to see the Mick Halford-trained Miss Snossyboots bounce back to form at a big price.
