11/8
A point-to-point winner who is still a maiden under Rules. He has shown a lot of promise over fences though as he has been second on all four of his starts, including last time at Wetherby (1m7f). Big player.

Has won twice in point-to-points but has struggled under Rules. He has fallen on his last outings over fences, with his latest effort coming at Kelso (2m7½f). Will need to jump much better.

Un Guet Apensb22
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-8| J: B S Hughes| T: J Ewart| OR:  115| CD
9/2
A four-time winner over fences. Returned to action at Hexham (2m4f) last month after a lengthy lay-off to finish fourth of nine runners. Can come on for that outing here so he is a leading contender.

5/1
Experienced gelding who won over this C&D in January 2019. He has been below his best on his three runs so far this season, including when he was sixth of eight at Catterick (1m7½f) last time. Back down to last winning mark now. Worth consideration.

Age: 12|  Weight: 11-0| J: Harry Reed(3)| T: T Davidson| OR:  107| CD
4/1
Scored at Newcastle (2m4f) back in March but has been unable to follow that up in three runs since. He had just one horse behind him in an eight runner field at Catterick (1m7½f) on his latest start. Others are preferred.

Forecasts

Ain't My Fault (11/8), Casual Cavalier (4/1), Un Guet Apens (9/2), Las Tunas (5/1), Ard Chros (7/1)

Verdict

AIN'T MY FAULT has had to settle for second place on all four of his runs over fences so far but he can go one place better here and finally break his maiden under Rules as he remains open to improvement. Un Guet Apens needed that run at Hexham last time out following a long lay-off from the track so expect to see much more this time from the chaser, while Las Tunas is back to his last winning mark which gives him a good chance of being in the mix.
