Has been well held on his two starts under Rules so far, including latest at Kelso (2m) where he was fourth of 11, beaten by 26L after going at 40/1. Needs to improve on his latest appearance.

Horse silk
12/1
Was successful in a bumper at Perth (2m) on just his second racecourse start. He could only finish fifth of 14 at Newcastle (2m) on his latest run on what was his opening appearance for his new yard. Can't be discounted on his hurdles debut.

Recorded two wins on the AW earlier this year before switching to hurdles. Could only finish fifth of nine at Plumpton (2m) in a novice hurdle contest last month. Is open to improvement so should be considered.

150/1
Came home at the rear of nine runners over this C&D on his debut back in October after being gelded. Will need to take a big stride forward on his second attempt over this trip at this course.
Has finished a long way down the field on all four of his runs to date. He was seventh of nine on his latest effort at Newcastle (2m) after going off at 50/1. Needs to produce much more to be in the mix.
6
Horse silk
100/1
Has struggled on both of his two starts. He was sixth of 10 on his debut in a bumper, while he came back eighth of 11 on his opening hurdles outing at Musselburgh (1m7½f). Others make a greater appeal.

Scored in a bumper at this course (2m) on his debut on the track. Went close to following that up over that same C&D last time as he was second of seven runners. Leading contender here on his hurdles debut.

Is still a maiden after six appearances where he has shown few signs that an opening win is not far away. He was pulled up on his latest start at Musselburgh (2m½f). Hard to make a case for here.
9
Horse silk
1/1
Finished second of 10 on his hurdles debut at Carlisle (2m1f) back in November. Was unable to build upon that at Haydock (1m7½f) last time as he was fifth of seven in a class two contest. Big player at this level.

Horse silk
80/1
Has been tailed off on her two starts so far, including latest at Musselburgh (1m7½f) when she was eighth of 12 after going off at 66/1. Needs to produce a lot more on her third run. Others are preferred.

12/1
Was second of 12 in a bumper at Hexham (2m) in the pick of her form to date. Improved on a disappointing debut over hurdles to finish fifth of nine last time at Kelso (2m5f), 5½L behind the winner. Not one to ignore.

100/1
Has been a long way down the field on her two appearances on the track. She came back at the rear of nine runners on her opening outing over hurdles at Newcastle (2m). Will wear a hood for the first time. Needs to improve.
13
Horse silk
50/1
Failed to prevail in seven attempts on the Flat. He was fifth of 16 on his last outing at Ffos Las (1m4f) back in September. Set for his first run for his new yard here over hurdles. Best to watch for now.

Forecasts

Sunny Express (1/1), Sao Maxence (5/1), Endlessly (6/1), Broadway Joe (10/1), Doyen Breed (12/1), Fair Minx (12/1), Mannochmore (12/1), Flying Moon (50/1), Call Me Maizie (80/1), Whispering Waters (100/1), Raemoir (100/1), Garron Crescent (150/1), Smart Paco (200/1)

Verdict

SUNNY EXPRESS can break his maiden here at the third attempt over hurdles. He has not fared too badly on the track so far and should improve on this latest appearance. Sao Maxence was a winner in a bumper at this course and went close to following up last time out over that same C&D. He can put up a strong challenge on his hurdles debut, while Endlessly may be capable of much more than his opening run over hurdles so include in your calculations on his latest start over obstacles.
  1. Sunny Express
  2. Sao Maxence
  3. Endlessly
