Maiden hurdle winner in July the Beneficial gelding won at the second time of asking over the larger obstacles when landing a Thurles 2m2f beginners contest when last seen in November. Capable of another bold bid with notable jockey booking.

Seven-race maiden over fences. The daughter of Beneficial has been running with plenty of credit in a number of starts over both the larger obstacles and hurdles since September. Better than her last effort suggests and worth another look here.
Daughter of Stowaway, useful 109-rated handicap hurdler. Left with plenty to find on balance of her first couple of starts over fences last month.

Well down the field on a couple of starts over the larger obstacles over 2m5f making too many mistakes on both outings last month. Winner at this trip over hurdles but needs to improve his jumping before coming in for consideration.

16-race maiden without success in six starts over fences. Posted a career best effort finishing second of 10 at Tramore in October but needs to show more consistency.

Five-race maiden over hurdles comes in for a difficult debut over fences in this company. Winner of a December point-to-point and could go well in first-time cheekpieces with notable jockey booking.

Winner of two of his 19 starts over hurdles, last seen finishing third of 13 beaten over 11L in a Cork handicap hurdle last month. Looks a tall order on chasing debut.

8/1
Pleasing debut over the larger obstacles to finish third of 15 beaten 6¾L behind Batcio at Clonmel last month over a similar trip. Capable of getting competitive if repeating that form.

Forecasts

Benefit Run (11/4), Pound A Stroke (7/2), First Class Return (5/1), Bee A Beneficiary (7/1), Bridge Native (8/1), Tintown Robin (8/1), Chosen Hour (8/1), Itscatrionaschoice (8/1)

Verdict

The Ross O'Sullivan-trained BENEFIT RUN won at the second time of asking over the larger obstacles when landing a Thurles 2m2f beginners contest in November and looks capable of improvement to win again here under jockey Rachael Blackmore. The Beneficial gelding hinted at a cosy win last time out and can get the better of the Declan Queally-trained Bee A Beneficiary who is clearly better than her last run suggests. Itscatrionaschoice, the mount of Jack Kennedy and Tintown Robin look set to compete for remaining prize money.
