Off the mark for connections when winning a Carlisle bumper in November. Capable of reproducing that form on hurdling debut with notable jockey booking, taking this ride before heading to Fairyhouse.

Below-par 59-rated handicapper on the Flat. Lightly raced in the last two years and the market will more than likely be the best guide to chances on hurdling debut.

Worcester bumper winner for previous yard was well held when falling on hurdles bow at Tipperary in October before finishing well down the field at Naas last month. Looks a tall order on form shown.

Off the mark at the second time of asking for connections when landing a Roscommon bumper on heavy ground in September. No impression on the leaders when falling two out on hurdling debut at Cork in November.
Recently seen on the AW at Dundalk where the mare is rated 51 on the surface. Has not come forward from encouraging hurdling debut at Down Royal in a couple of dour efforts since. Others preferred.

Lightly raced maiden. Yard have a 33%win and place strike rate at this meeting in the last three years. Infrequent visits to the track will not be helping the gelding to progress in the game.
Diamond Boy gelding bought for £100,000 as a three-year-old in May 2017. Remote fourth when falling at the last on hurdling debut at Fairyhouse in November. Yard boast a 46% win and place strike rate here since 2017.

French bred gelding whose dam is from the family of useful chaser Or Jaune. Signs of ability in bumpers and posted a career best effort finishing third of 14 at Limerick in November.
Newcomer by Ask out of a point/2m4f hurdle winner is probably best watched on debut given yard's record in such races.

Coastal Path gelding out of a Saints Des Saints mare. Listed third over hurdles in France before disappointing at odds of 1/3f at Clonmel last month. Yard have a 70% win and place strike rate at this meeting in the last three years.

Improvement needed based on his first couple of starts over hurdles in the last two months. Well beaten 72L on latest start on St Stephens Day and remains easy to oppose again.
Gelding by Ansiel out of a Rock Of Gibraltar mare. Dam, five race maiden failed to hit the frame in three starts over hurdles. Plenty to find on tough debut.

Daughter of Robin Des Champs pout of a Beneficial mare. Profile suggests that she is worth taking on again following a number of dismal efforts over hurdles so far.

Verdict

The Henry De Bromhead yard won this race 12 months ago with Notebook and it may be significant that the trainer gives another chance to his Diamond Boy gelding EPSON DU HOUX in the opener. The six-year-old can put a recent hiccup at Fairyhouse behind him and land the spoils here at the expense of the Willie Mullins-trained Saint Roi in the colours of owner J P McManus. Arcadian Sunrise has plenty of experience and a winning mentality going for him under jockey Jamie Codd as he competes for the minor honours with Cornerkova and Even Flight.
