C&D winner off a 2lb lower mark who has also scored over a slightly shorter trip at Perth since in novice company. Below-par on his two most recent efforts he comes into this with some questions to answer despite the ease in grade.
First runner at the track for the predominantly Flat trainer who has had some success over hurdles including with this one. Scored at Hereford and Plumpton but found his good run coming to an end in a more competitive heat last time; cheekpieces on.
Produced a laboured effort last time and it's now a fair while since he's produced anything that could be considered a good effort. Dropping rapidly in the handicap but still difficult to find the evidence to support him.
On a long losing sequence although he has generally run in better races than this contest he faces today. Recent efforts though have been modest but on his best form he would be a danger to all having slipped 5lb below his last winning mark.
Ex-French hurdler who has gradually found his form for this yard gaining his first career win last time when showing a good attitude to win at Leicester (2m, heavy). Only raised 3lb for an in-form yard, leading chance despite the longer trip.
Handicap newcomer who landed a 2m novice here on his first start over hurdles but went backwards when last seen over 2m4f in testing conditions. Leading rider takes the mount so hard to ignore but this will require more.
Fair Hexham bumper winner who hasn't as yet transferred that same ability to his hurdles outings. Wore a tongue-tie for the first time when well held on his handicap debut at Musselburgh last time; mark still looks a stiff one.

Forecasts
Man Of Plenty (7/2), The Crooner (7/2), Do Not Disturb (7/2), Juge Et Parti (11/2), Sidi Ismael (6/1), Blue Hussar (7/1), Bialco (15/2), Ahead of The Curve (12/1)
A few of these will need to bounce back from poor outings last time to get involved in this with Juge Et Parti one of the runners that could be placed in that group. He wears cheekpieces for the first-time and the headgear may help. Blue Hussar is another who has promised to deliver on a few occasions but rather like Bialco and Man Of Plenty they are hardly serial winners. One runner who does look ahead of the handicapper is THE CROONER he showed an excellent attitude to win at Leicester over 2m and this longer trip should prove no hindrance to him following up for his yard who are in cracking form.
- The Crooner
- Juge Et Parti
- Blue Hussar
