Winner of three of his 26 starts over fences. C&D winner, very lightly raced of late, last seen finishing at the back of the field in an eight runner contest at Thurles in March. Market best guide.
Not disgraced in a number of starts since returning to action following a 618 day lay-off in June. Course winner that has also won over the trip will be looking to be involved at the business end of proceedings.
Winner of just one of his 14 starts over the larger obstacles. C&D winner, not seen since pulling up at Cork in March and looks up against it here.
Likes it here. Winner of three of his nine starts at the course and successful on his only start over C&D. Strong claims in this company.
Three from 17 over fences, the Flemensfirth gelding finished third of 10 beaten 15L in this contest 12 months ago. Runs off a 6lb lower mark here and one to note.
C&D winner on one of four visits to the venue. Not seen since finishing fourth of 14 over hurdles in June. Market likely to be the best guide.
Encouraging second of 10 beaten 2¼L in an Ayr 3m½f handicap hurdle on soft ground in October on the veterans first start for this yard before disappointing in a Navan handicap hurdle last month. Place claims.
Winner of three of his 43 starts over fences. Usually struggles at this venue and others look more appealing in this contest.
Distance winner who has hit the frame at this venue previously and ran with plenty of credit here on his last start in a 3m handicap hurdle last month. One for the shortlist.
Not seen for 809 days when pulling up on return to action in a Punchestown handicap chase over 2m6½f on soft ground last month. Hard to see where improvement is coming from.
Veteran is without a win in 17 starts including on seven starts over the larger obstacles. Hard to fancy and others readily preferred.
Placed over C&D and has some fair form in the past but this veteran has shown very little of late to suggest he would be capable of landing this contest despite tumbling down the weights.
Miserly return of one win from 16 starts over fences. Pulled up when detached earlier this month in the Scottish Borders National at Kelso. Appears up against it here.
Lightly raced winner of one of his eight starts over the larger obstacles. Second of seven beaten 4L at Naas when last seen in January 2018. Fitness can be only taken on trust.
Three from 32 over fences the veteran has ran with plenty of credit in a number of starts over fences in the last month. Not easily dismissed.
Forecasts
Cappacurry Zak (9/2), Flynsini (5/1), Oscar Lantern (7/1), Hash Brown (7/1), Toushan (8/1), Flemenstorm (10/1), He Rock's (10/1), Sonny B (12/1), Rightdownthemiddle (14/1), Garrai Phaidin (16/1), The Informer (16/1), Rightback Atya (20/1), Smokey Joe Joe (25/1), Letter Of Credit (28/1), Caniwillyegiveme (50/1)
C&D winner CAPPACURRY ZAK has recently been running well in a couple of point-to-point contests finishing runner up on both occasions. The 10-year-old can see off the attention of Flemenstorm for trainer Edward Cawley with the gelding having conditions in his favour here. Toushan is another who will relish the ground while both Rightback Atya and Smokey Joe Joe should not be underestimated at a big price.
- Cappacurry Zak
- Flemenstorm
- Rightback Atya
