Point winner who seemed in need of the experience, and unlucky not to finish closer when third of 9 to Assemble in maiden bumper at Fairyhouse last month. Will improve, and one to consider.
Showed ability on hurdles debut at Fairyhouse, and ran to a similar lever when fifth of 9 to Assemble in maiden bumper there last month. Held by Appreciate It on that form.
Half-brother to point winner Pop The Champers out of a half-sister to useful hurdler/chaser Hildisvini. Runner-up in a point to point early this month, but that was his only completion from three starts between the flags.
Respectable sixth of 25 to Longhouse Poet in maiden at Navan on hurdling debut last time, but beaten 35L in a Down Royal bumper prior to that, and plenty more needed now, for all a tongue tie should help.
Quite well related, and showed something to work on when 14L third of 9 to Powerful Ted in maiden bumper at Galway in October. Needs to progress markedly to go close here, however.
Made significant late headway when third of 17 to Eric Bloodaxe in maiden bumper at Fairyhouse on debut, and this son of Fame And Glory is the type to improve significantly for that experience.
Related to winners, but beaten almost 40L when sixth of 11 to Asterion Forlonge in maiden bumper at Thurles on debut, and has a mountain to climb here.
Runner-up on bumper debut, and improved on that when ¾L second of 11 to Asterion Forlonge in maiden event at Thurles last time. Clear of the field that day, and has solid place claims having left Denis Leahy since that run.
Best effort in bumpers when third at Thurles in November, but that form is not good enough here, and she has been below that level twice since, most recently over hurdles.
Forecasts
Appreciate It (11/10), Ragnar Lodbrok (5/2), Rosencrantz (13/2), Freedom To Dream (8/1), Mahler Allstar (14/1), Watergate Lady (16/1), Barnaviddaun (20/1), Tempting Tara (25/1), Lucky Mare (33/1)
RAGNAR LODBROK is the type to improve significantly on a promising fourth at Fairyhouse, and he will take the beating if doing so, giving him the edge over Appreciate It, who is another open to progress after a promising debut. Watergate Lady has changed stables since a good second last time, and is the other to consider.
- Ragnar Lodbrok
- Appreciate It
- Watergate Lady
