Running with plenty of credit in a number of starts over fences since his debut in October. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.

Chosen Hour21
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean O'Keeffe(5)| T: S Aherne| C
Well down the field on a couple of starts over the larger obstacles over 2m5f making too many mistakes on both outings last month. Winner at this track over hurdles but needs to improve his jumping before coming in for consideration.
Earned his place at the Cheltenham festival with some promising runs in maiden hurdles from the turn of the year. Third of 15 beaten 15L on his second start over fences and open to more improvement here.

Gaillimh Abut143
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: J J Slevin| T: P G Kelly
Lightly raced individual, broke his maiden here in July 2018 over 2m4f in a maiden hurdle. Market likely to be the best guide on chasing introduction.

Line Out23
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Phillip Enright| T: J E Kiely
Triple hurdle winner at 2m-2m4f on good or yielding ground. Running well in defeat in a couple of starts over fences since October without worrying the main protagonists. Bit more needed.

Lord Schnitzelp,t21
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Keith Donoghue| T: M J Smith
A fair third of 17 beaten 13L behind Faugheen on chasing debut was followed by a pleasing effort over 2m5f running Carefully Selected to 3¾L at Fairyhouse over 2m5f last month. Enters calculations.

Max Dynamite63
Age: 9|  Weight: 11-12| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins| C
Gallant efforts on the Flat at Group level in recent years have overshadowed a number of below-par efforts over hurdles. Market likely to be the best guide on chasing introduction.

Milan Native23
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott
Solid 134-rated hurdler, the son of Milan has shaped well over fences in a couple of starts at Navan and at this venue over 2m2f last month. One to note in the market.
Lightly raced sort who enjoyed a fairly productive first season under rules last year. Pleasing effort on first start over fences finishing fifth of 18 beaten 10L in a Fairyhouse beginners contest last month. Could go well if jumping more fluently.
Sent off at big prices on all four maiden hurdle starts to date, running accordingly on each occasion since August. Not one to place a great deal of faith in on chasing debut.

Small Farm28
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Brian Hayes| T: W P Mullins
Lightly raced individual in the last 12 months. Fifth of 10 beaten 36L on chasing debut in a Gowran Park 2m4f beginners contest last month behind stablemate Laurina. Probably best watched on this occasion.

Woddy Wynnet130
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: A McCurtin(5)| T: D Howard
Gelding by Scorpion out of a Robin Des Champs mare. Fifth of 11 beaten 35L on sole start under rules last month in a 2m bumper at this track. Watching brief on chasing debut.
Consistent sort over hurdles in a summer jumping campaign running over similar trips. That promise has tailed off somewhat with the change in ground conditions and looks opposable on chasing introduction.

Half The Oddst130
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Sean Flanagan| T: N Meade
Bumper winner and successful in one of her five starts over hurdles in the 2017/18 season. Pleasing run on return to action following a 635 day break finishing third of 11 beaten 31L on chasing debut last month. Capable of improved effort.
Below-par handicap hurdler, well beaten in a couple of starts since September. Profile suggests that she is worth taking on again making chasing debut in this company.

Verdict

The Matthew Smith-trained LORD SCHNITZEL can land the opener following a couple of encouraging starts last month. The Getaway geldind ran well in defeat finishing a fair third of 17 beaten 13L behind Faugheen on chasing debut before a pleasing effort over 2m5f running Carefully Selected to 3¾L at Fairyhouse over 2m5f. The Willie Mullins-trained Max Dynamite is expected to give a good account of himself on chasing introduction and can compete for remaining prize money with Milan Native in the colours of Gigginstown House Stud, Captain Cj for trainer Dermot McLoughlin and Mormon, the mount of Rachael Blackmore. Line Out could go well at a price.
  1. Lord Schnitzel
  2. Max Dynamite
