Fair form to her name over hurdles although she has yet to win one over timber. Two creditable efforts to her name of late in handicaps off a 1lb lower mark; beaten by two subsequent winners last time one of whom (Tuckers Cailin) runs here.
Came close to breaking her maiden off a break last time at Taunton and was perhaps unlucky not to do so; in the end just added to her tally of placed efforts. Has in the past had her attitude called into question; still has to prove herself totally.
Shaped well enough stepped up in trip for her first experience in handicaps at Bangor last time (2m7f, heavy). That was clearly her best performance so far over hurdles, a repeat of that would see her in the firing line here.
First run for a new yard (previously with Olly Murphy) having produced a couple of solid efforts for that yard he disappointed when last seen (made a bad mistake early). Returns from a long absence; best watched on her return.
Point-to-point winner who outran her 100-1 SP on her first run for this yard in a decent Chepstow novice hurdle. Failed to build on that and wasn't in the same form when last seen (Ffos Las, novice hurdle); now goes handicapping for the first time.
Rejuvenated since joining this yard landing a gamble on her first run in testing ground over 3m at Ffos Las and then following up over 4f shorter at the same course off 10lb more. Given another 10lb hike in the weights but is in fine form.
In this headgear combination when winning at Market Rasen after a break last time showing that she has plenty of stamina for tests like this. Nudged up 3lb for that win in what was a weak contest; should go well but this does look a deeper contest.
Stepped forward on anything that she had shown before when second over hurdles (handicap debut) at Plumpton before gaining her initial win last time over fences. Off a 6lb higher mark but still unexposed over obstacles; leading player.
Impact so far has been very limited in a mixture of novice and handicap events. Shaped reasonably enough when last seen but will struggle to get involved in this even off a lowly mark conceding race fitness to several in the field.
Poor maiden hurdler who was pulled up when last seen in a point-to-point (May 2018). First run under Rules for over two years, hard to think that he's going to make much of an impression here and others are much preferred.
Forecasts
Special Princess (11/4), Truckers Cailin (7/2), Chloe's Court (9/2), Massini's Dream (11/2), Bean Liath (7/1), Incertaine (11/1), Catchmeifyoucan (16/1), Getawaytonewbay (20/1), Mole Trap (22/1), Emmas Dilemma (50/1)
The improvement that Special Princess has shown over the past few weeks has been dramatic and she’s sure to make a bold bid to record a hat-trick despite being 20lb higher than for her first win, the step back up in trip sure to suit her. This test will also suit TRUCKERS CAILIN who has shown a great deal of progress since entering handicaps and returns to hurdling off the back of her first chase win, she’s still relatively unexposed and may well add to her Ffos Las win. Massini’s Dream isn’t one to rely on but did show last time that she’s capable of winning in the right mood while Chloe’s Court and Catchmeifyoucan are two other with place chances.
- Truckers Cailin
- Special Princess
- Chloe's Court
