A two-time winner over hurdles. He was third of 10 on his latest appearance in a 2m5f hurdles contest at Kempton as the 7/4 favourite back in March. Set for first start over fences. One to think about.
Had a good record over hurdles with four wins from his nine runs. Has had two attempts at chasing now where he was not far away last time when he came back second of six over this C&D. Leading contender on this latest start.
Showed a lot of promise early in his career with wins in a bumper and over hurdles. Latest form has been disappointing though, including last time in a 2m2½f hurdles contest at Stratford. Has had a wind-op since. Best to watch.
Prevailed over hurdles at Market Rasen (2m2½f) back in January and although he has not followed that up since, he has been running well. He was fourth of five on his chase debut at Wetherby (1m7f) last time. Can expect more on this second attempt.
Scored on three occasions over hurdles. Has had two appearances over fences so far. He was second of five at Stratford (2m5f) on his chase debut and then was well held when he was fifth of seven at Wetherby (2m3½f). Worth considering at this trip.
Recorded back-to-back victories over hurdles back in May. Was disappointing last time at Plumpton (2m4½f) though as he came back at the rear of nine runners. Making his chase debut here. Others appeal more.
Forecasts
Burrows Edge (6/4), Cotswold Way (5/2), Garrettstown (5/1), Mr Antolini (6/1), Espoir De Teillee (12/1), Sizing At Midnight (25/1)
COTSWOLD WAY finished second over this C&D last time out and he can use his experience over fences to good affect here which should see him go one place better. Mr Antolini is likely to deliver more now he is dropping down to this distance so expect to see him close by on his third appearance over fences, while Burrows Edge was quote smart over hurdles so it would be no surprise if he ran well on his chase debut.
