Stable not known for their bumper runners (0-9 last five seasons). Related to plenty of decent types including useful chaser Halo Moon but bred to need time and distance; showed very little on her bumper debut at Wetherby earlier in the year.

33/1
Stable 1-24 with bumper newcomers; half-sister to fairly useful hurdler/chaser Alizee de Janeiro; dam 1m3f-2m1f winner on Flat in France. Makes her debut aged six and hard to imagine her making much of an impact.

20/1
Stable have never has a winning bumper debutante (0-22); by Black Sam Bellamy the dam was a 2m-2m3f hurdle winner. Type who will come on for the experience and best watched for her debut given the yard's record with newcomers.

Looked the stable selected on her Kelso bumper debut earlier in the year when well supported in the market (started favourite) but appeared to need the experience. Should do a lot better here given a break and a stiffer test; leading prospect.
One of three in the field who have Irish point-to-point experience although her five starts in that sphere are rather underwhelming (0-5). Makes her Rules debut from a yard that are always to be respected in this sphere but looks the second string.

Won her only Irish point-to-point narrowly in May (going way close home) and subsequently sold for £50,000. Yard have a 25% strike-rate with bumper newcomers so hard to ignore with the market sure to provide a good indication of expectations.

2/1
Started at a big price considering her yard/pedigree on Southwell debut last March; showed there was something to work on. Improved on her debut last month at Warwick finishing just behind the leaders (too much to do); good enough to win a bumper.

Forecasts

Kitty Hall (11/8), Tequila Blaze (2/1), Fontaine Collonges (3/1), Movin'on Up (9/2), Moonshot (9/2), Largy Princess (14/1), Elusive Poppy (20/1), Dora De Janeiro (33/1), Black Opium (66/1)

Verdict

The first of two bumpers to close the eight-race card with KITTY HALL taken to build on her Kelso debut earlier in the year for the Nicky Richards yard that have 4-7 with their bumpers runners at the track since 2015. Made favourite for her debut at Kelso this test looks as though it will suit her better. She won’t be without opposition though with Venetia Williams expensive (€180,000) French purchase Fontaine Collonges sure to be danger on her GB debut although a penalty for her win could just anchor her. Movin’On Up is already a winner between the flags and her yard have a good record with newcomers whilst the experience Tequila Blaze has gained so far could be put to good use.
  1. Kitty Hall
  2. Movin'on Up
  3. Fontaine Collonges
