Course winner over 3m he often blights his starts with some poor jumping which can put him on the back foot. Only shaped in very modest fashion when returning from a wind op at Fontwell last month; pulled up in a void race at Sandown last time.

Useful over hurdles he's been asked a couple of stiff questions on his first two chasing starts. Supported on his chase debut at Worcester he found a 3m4f test at Haydock last time too much for one of his ilk; remains with potential eased in grade.

You have to go back to January 2015 to find his last win off a mark of 92 and he remains a maiden over fences (0-10). Given a wind op prior to his four starts this year but still looks to be struggling for form; jumping remains more miss than hit.

Better over fences than hurdles; best form has come over staying trips although he's hardly a prolific winner (10 runs since last victory); remains 16lb above last winning mark. Poor over 4m last time, could bounce back but hardly a solid proposition

Verdict

All of these come with some sort of question mark attached to them and it will take a leap of faith to support any of the quintet. DIGER DAUDAIE hasn’t got that many miles on the clock over fences and despite being well beaten last time he did show up well enough for an inexperienced type in a tough race. This looks easier and he would have been the best of these over hurdles. Shanroe Santos had already been pulled up before the Sandown void race farce took effect last weekend but like Teddy Tee his jumping often lets him down. Pookie Pekan will be at home around here but his stamina will come under scrutiny whilst it’s been a long time between drinks for Misfits.
