Placed in a couple of Irish points and changed hands for £20,000 in August. Closely related to a 2m4f hurdle winner and half-brother to 2m3f/3m hurdle winner, and also in good hands, so no surprise to see a good rules debut over this trip.
Placed in four of his seven hurdles, including on testing ground. Another good effort in a better race than this at Haydock recently, and should be a leading contender here.
Placed in an Ayr novices' hurdle last season, and again back there over fences last time. Yet to prove that he stays this far, and overall level of form leaves him needing improvement now back over hurdles.
Improving with each run and stayed on well to be 3L third over shorter at Ayr (heavy) last month. Step up in trip looks positive, and he looks a major player.
Second in an Irish point and made the frame, albeit it beaten a distance, on her rules debut in a bumper here this time last year. Well held on hurdles debut, however, so plenty to prove.
Well beaten at lengthening odds in all five starts over hurdles, and impossible to recommend her on that evidence.
Forecasts
Skiddaw Tara (11/10), Get Help (7/4), Empire Steel (9/2), Oh No (28/1), Shocona's Joy (50/1), Sincerely Resdev (100/1), Stormy Reception (125/1)
Nicky Richards looks to have the right race for SKIDDAW TARA to get off the mark. Her latest run at Ayr reads well in context, while this step up in trip looks ideal. Get Help looks next best on what we have seen so far, and of the remainder, rules newcomer Empire Steel is of most interest.
