Unraced Al Namix gelding bought for £30,000 at the sales in the spring. Half-brother to dual chase winner Avecpassion and is out of a mare who was victorious over hurdles. Interesting runner on racecourse debut.
Well beaten 68L 11th in a bumper over an extended 1m7f at Wincanton (good-to-soft) when debuting earlier this month. Tongue tie tried for the first time.
Shaped as if further would suit when finishing 11L fifth in a bumper over an extended 1m5f at Huntingdon (good) on debut just over a month ago. Better expected in this contest.
Unraced Shirocco gelding bought for €28,000 at the sales as a foal. Dam an unraced half-sister to the useful Ipsos Du Berlais and he is a notable runner on first racecourse appearance.
Tracked the pace prior to weakening into eighth, beaten 17½L when making his debut in a 1m5f bumper at Exeter (good) in October. Interesting to see how he performs on his return from a break.
Forecasts
The Mick Preston (9/4), Full Spes (3/1), Innerpickle (7/2), The Furrows End (6/1), Vulcan Bomber (10/1), Hollow Gold (12/1), Midnight Wave (40/1)
THE MICK PRESTON was an expensive purchase as a foal and he is taken to make a winning debut in the concluding bumper. The selection represents a good yard and he can get the better of Full Spes who can finish runner-up on his first start while third place can go to The Furrows End who showed promise on debut last month.
