Three-time hurdle winner for previous trainer Harry Fry but didn't look remotely convincing in two chases for that yard and same tale on stable debut over fences too. Risky proposition.

Dual heavy ground hurdle winner at up to 3m2f pitched into a much hotter contest than this when falling at Exeter on chase debut. Expecting better now but 5lb claimer booked perhaps indicative of yard's thoughts on his handicap mark.

Bumped into potentially top class Windor Avenue when a distant second at Sedgefield on chase debut before going one better at Ayr last month. 13lb higher now but still highly unexposed and may be the answer here.

Pulled up in final two starts last term but returned with an emphatic 25L success at Uttoxeter; his first win since 2017. Three of his six wins after a layoff so is clearly best fresh but still has to be respected here.

Verdict

Former point winner KNOCKOURA built on the promise of his chase debut latest when scoring emphatically by 11L at Ayr. The handicapper took a dim view of that but he is open to more improvement and fancied to follow up nevertheless. Veteran Bob Ford showed his best form in a long time at Uttoxeter latest and while he's not the most reliable he is a danger to all if in the same mood. Top-weight Rocco needs to find a little for this extra distance.
