€38,000 as a 3yo, half-brother to the very useful chaser Duke Of Navan and should have a future as a hurdler; jockey bookings suggest Cadzand is the stable's number one hope here.

€65,000 Getaway half-brother to winning hurdler Show Court. Not the flashiest pedigree for one from this powerful yard, and she was very disappointing on Ascot debut given she went off favourite. Possibly best watched at present.

Diamond Boy gelding, £20,000 as a 4yo; more Flat speed than most of these in the pedigree and might appreciate this test; watch market for a clue.

€45,000 3yo, second foal and a half-brother to a cross-country chase winner; yard have a good strike rate with their bumper runners here and he has to be on the shortlist.

Finished well down the field at Lingfield on debut last month, and 66-1 price tag suggested little was expected. No realistic chance on that here.
Schiaparelli gelding, fourth foal; not much to shout about on pedigree and yard not known for bumper winners either, so not hard to look elsewhere for the winner,

Misaps
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-7| J: C Gethings| T: S EdmundsWS
9/1
Sister to a point-to-point winner, dam a hurdles winner and half-sister to another; yard get the odd bumper winner but others appeal more on paper.

Verdict

A decent looking field on paper for this bumper, and by now the ground could be quite testing. That might help those with stamina in the pedigree, and to that extent BOBHOPEORNOHOPE makes a bit of appeal. He's bred to stay and connections went to a fair price to purchase him after his point-to-point win. Cadzand is the one to beat on form and will be a tough nit to crack after his debut third at Newbury, form that looks all the better after the winner went in again next time. Heart Of A Lion has a stiff task under the penalty but created a good impression when winning at Southwell and needs consideration, along with newcomer Not At Present.
