Was successful just once on the Flat but he made a winning start to his National Hunt career when he scored at Huntingdon (2m) last time out on his opening start for his new yard. Will need to carry a penalty here but he has a good chance.

Prevailed over hurdles in France at Fontainebleau (1m7f) on his opening appearance on the track in what was a tight finish as he got up by a neck. Set for his first run for his new yard. Big player as he looks to follow up.
Scored on the AW on the Flat in France at Cagnes-Sur-Mer (1m2f). Tackled hurdles for the first time on his UK debut over this C&D where he third of nine runners. Has each-way claims on his return to this track.

Won on the Flat course here over 2m two starts back. Was fancied to run well on his hurdles debut at Sedegefield (2m1f) on his latest outing but he could only finish fourth of 10 after going off as the 5/4 favourite. Not one to ignore.

Made a promising start to his hurdles career when he was second of nine over this C&D last month, beaten by just 2L after holding the lead at one point after the last obstacle. One to think about on his latest attempt at this course.

Prevailed just once in 11 starts on the Flat. He could only finish 10th of 13 on his latest effort at Redcar (1m2f). Has since switched yards. Best to watch on his first appearance over hurdles.

Was a maiden on the Flat in six outings. Could only finish fifth of 16 on his hurdles debut at Catterick (1m7½f) where he was 11½L off the winner. Cheekpieces will be on for the first time. Will need to improve this time around.

Did not jump very well on his hurdles debut over this C&D last month as he was fourth of nine runners in what was his first start for his new yard. Others make more of an appeal in this race.

Forecasts

Building Bridges (6/4), Guena Des Mottes (3/1), Beechwood Jude (11/2), El Picador (7/1), Hasankey (12/1), Balranald (16/1), Wakool (20/1), Guildhall (25/1)

Verdict

GUENA DES MOTTES was a winner in France on his debut over hurdles and is now set for his first outing in the UK. He looks the type to build on that win so take him to follow up here. Building Bridges scored nicely at Huntingdon on his hurdles debut and must also be considered to add to that success, despite his penalty, while El Picador was second over this C&D on his opening hurdles appearance so expect to see him in the placings again on this second attempt.
  1. Guena Des Mottes
  2. Building Bridges
  3. El Picador
