Ran well in a point-to-point at Dalton Park on his debut but was unable to shine on his first start under Rules when he was eighth of 12 at Ayr (2m). Set for his opening appearance over hurdles now. Best to watch.
Was second of 10 on his debut over hurdles in France at Enghien. Has been disappointing on both of his outings in the UK, including latest when he was seventh of eight at Kempton (2m). Set for first run for his new yard here. Others are preferred.
Has been well held on his two starts on the track. His latest attempt came over hurdles at Kelso (2m) where he was ninth of 13 after going off at 40/1. Needs to take a big stride forward.
Scored in two bumpers last season which was enough to see him line up in a Grade 2 contest at Aintree where he was outclassed. Was too keen on his hurdles debut at Market Rasen (2m½f) last time before unseating his rider. Worth consideration.
Has failed in shine in his four starts to date. He was a long way off the winner when he was 10th of 13 on his latest outing at Kelso (2m) after going off at 50/1. Hard to make a case for here.
Was fourth of 12 in a bumper at Ayr (2m) on his debut, while last time at Hexham (2m4f) he was fourth of six over hurdles. He was prominent on his latest start until the closing stages so this trip should suit him better. One for the shortlist.
Prevailed in a bumper at Sedgefield (2m1f) on just his second start on the track. Has been well held on his two appearances over hurdles, although he was fourth of 11 at Sedgefield (2m1f) last time. One to think about.
Came home sixth of 10 on his opening start on the track at Newcastle (2m) in a bumper last month after going off at 80/1. Will need to take a big stride forward here to be in the mix at the finish.
Showed some promise when he was third of nine runners at Warwick (2m) in a bumper on his debut back in April. Set for his first start over hurdles where he is a leading contender to come out on top.
Has been a long way down the field on her four attempts to date, including last time at Ayr (2m4½f) when she was eighth of 10 on her first run over hurdles as a 33/1 shot. Needs to improve.
Scored in a bumper at Sedgefield (2m1f) in comfortable fashion in December 2018. Has been well beaten on her two appearances over hurdles. She was pulled up last time at Market Rasen (2m4½f). Will need to produce more.
Forecasts
Order Of Thistle (11/4), Malystic (7/2), Unai (9/2), No Regrets (5/1), George Gently (11/2), Dares To Dream (10/1), Artoff (20/1), Kilfinan Bay (33/1), Colorado Gold (50/1), My Son John (50/1), Raemoir (66/1)
UNAI did very little wrong on his debut in a bumper at Warwick and he is likely to be even better now he is over hurdles so take the gelding to build upon his opening start to score here in this maiden hurdle contest. Order Of Thistle has been successful in a bumper and although he has been quite modest on his two hurdles appearances to date, there is likely to be more to come, while No Regrets should have a much better chance over this distance on his second start over hurdles.
- Unai
- Order Of Thistle
- No Regrets
