5f always sharp enough for this 6f specialist so latest effort on reappearance at Wolverhampton to a degree can be ignored. That said he looked at the handicapper's mercy in the spring.
Shown little since early revitalising effect of joining this yard saw him prevail at Chelmsford in August. Particularly poor latest and now hard to fancy.
Relatively unexposed filly who won 6f novice contest in March. Beaten favourite after that then absent until twice running fairly moderately at Kempton. Step forward needed now.
Three-time turf winner but 0-14 on the AW and well held here last time. Course winner on preferred turf but questions remain on Polytrack.
Gained third AW success at Wolverhampton in August but was unable to get close enough from the rear at Chelmsford a week later. Given a break since and still quite well treated on the best of his form.
6f Chelmsford winner penultimately (fifth career score) before struggling off this higher mark next at the same C&D. Handicap could again prove too steep.
Winner here in April before signing off for a summer break. Not really performed in three autumn races but first time here since the aforementioned success and blinkers tried first time.
18lb lower than her C&D winning mark latest when successful over the trip at Chelmsford. Handicapper now gives 3lb back but with confidence boosted she is a player here.
C&D winner latest ending a lengthy losing run. Won with a bit in hand there so 4lb rise may not be enough especially considering she remains very well in on peak form.
Long-standing maiden again well held at Kempton latest after a short break and as usual he is easy enough to pass over.
Winner here back in March has failed to sparkle the last twice at Chelmsford although he does tend to run his best races at this course so better now is possible if not probable.
Forecasts
The Lacemaker (3/1), Daring Guest (4/1), Kath's Lustre (11/2), Velvet Morn (7/1), Napping (8/1), Creek Harbour (8/1), Aguerooo (10/1), Kingsley Klarion (10/1), Moveonup (25/1), Fareeq (33/1), Majorette (33/1), George Dryden (66/1)
In a weak looking contest THE LACEMAKER can follow up her C&D success off today's 4lb higher mark. Fellow last time out winner Kath's Lustre may provide the sternest opposition although Daring Guest is well enough treated to go close also.
- The Lacemaker
- Kath's Lustre
