Struggled last year on the back of a Chepstow win almost two years ago now with letters more than numbers featuring in his form figures. Completed the course for the first time since that win last time after a wind op; doubts still remain.
Winner of this last year with the same rider he's been successful on two of his last three visits here running respectably last time but needing the run. Dropped 1lb for that effort he'll be more at home in this company; the eldest in the field, stil
Stable mate of last year's winner; got back to winning ways around here (2m7f) before causing an upset to win the Grimthorpe at Doncaster (3m2f) off 5lb lower. Without his usual rider, has a top-class substitute; should be in the mix after a break.
Smart but frustrating sort for David Pipe this yard have to an extent got him back on track winning in France in September. Almost caused a shock in a decent 2m Cheltenham handicap off a much-reduced mark, well held at Ascot last time; inconsistent.
Irish point-to-point winner who showed improved form over slightly further when winning here on his handicap debut. Followed up that win with a couple of decent efforts despite jumping blemishes; unexposed for this test if ready on his return.
Third runner in the race for the stable with this one being a course winner who has been lightly-raced of late. Showed he retained a fair amount of ability here last time eventually finishing a well-beaten third; blinkers return to pep him up.
Fairly useful sort when he's in the mood as he had been on several occasions for his previous yard. Held his form fairly well last year for this barn but has reverted to his moody/indolent ways this season; one to take care with.
