4/1
Winner of two of his three starts so far most recently in a 2m novice hurdle at Ffos Las (soft) last month. Carries a penalty for that victory and is of interest stepping up markedly in distance.

3/1
Showed good form over fences last season and followed up an impressive 19L 2m7f novice hurdle victory at Bangor (heavy) with an 11L second at Southwell (3m, heavy) two days later. Strong claims of registering a second hurdles success.

5/6
Point-to-point winner on heavy ground in November 2017. Lightly-raced since but has placed on his last three starts over hurdles. Step up in trip looks likely to suit following an 8L second over an extended 2m3f on soft ground here last time out.
Point-to-point winner over 3m on good ground in January and ran well when 21L third over an extended 2m3f on Rules debut here last month. Held by Blackjack Kentucky on that form however.
5
Horse silk
14/1
Soft ground point-to-point winner in March but was beaten 24L by Jepeck when third of four on hurdles debut at Bangor (2m7f, heavy) last month. Others hold stronger claims.
6
Horse silk
100/1
Point-to-point winner on good-to-soft going in February but pulled up in that sphere next time out and it was a similar story in a three runner chase on Rules and stable debut at Fakenham (3m, good) last month.
7
Horse silk
80/1
Beaten 5L when third in a 3m point-to-point at Upcott Cross (good-to-soft) in April. Interesting to see how he performs on Rules debut.
8
Horse silk
66/1
Showed ability in a couple of point-to-point bumpers last season but was beaten 37L when sixth on Rules debut in a bumper at Ffos Las (2m, soft) last month. Probably best watched on hurdling debut.

Forecasts

Blackjack Kentucky (5/6), Jepeck (3/1), Holly James (4/1), Donnie Brasco (6/1), Oscar Asche (14/1), Apple Bank (66/1), Second Captain (80/1), Positive Touch (100/1)

Verdict

BLACKJACK KENTUCKY finished runner-up to a classy looking rival here last time out and he can go one better than when finishing runner-up that day. Jepeck, one of two penalised runners in the field can finish runner-up on this occasion while Holly James, the only other hurdles winner in the field can take third.
  1. Blackjack Kentucky
  2. Jepeck
  3. Holly James
