Rounded off his Flat campaign with three successive wins (1m4f-1m6f); made all (surviving a few sketchy leaps) when making a winning hurdles debut at Fontwell (2m1½f, soft) 19 days ago; penalised accordingly; sets the standard.
76-rated on the Flat (1 from 8); produced with a well-timed winning challenge when beating the Dan Skelton-trained favourite Must See The Doc on hurdles debut at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good) in July; off since and penalised accordingly.
Moderate on the Flat (53-rated maiden); is fully expected to struggle against a couple of previous winners and some promising types on hurdles debut.
Didn't show much ability on the Flat for George Scott, and was moved on swiftly for £8,000 last December; 50-1 when sixth of 12 (beaten 24L) to Sir Psycho on hurdles debut at Wincanton (1m7½f, good).
With F.Cheyer when a comfortable 5L winner of a 1m3½f bumper at Brehal (France) in August; carries high profile racing silks; note any positive market move on hurdles/stable debut.
Unraced on the Flat for Sir Michael Stoute, and joined Michael Scudamore for £14,000 in June; placed in an Exeter bumper (1m5f) with a similar result on hurdles debut at Catterick (1m7½f) a fortnight ago; cheekpieces are applied.
Flat winner in France at Bordeaux Le Bouscat (1m1½f, heavy); with a high profile owner-trainer combination for hurdles debut; consult the market for the required clues; interesting.
Low 60's-rated Flat maiden (0-10) who admittedly ran his best race in that sphere over 2m at Chepstow in September (second); in rear throughout and ultimately tailed off on Ludlow hurdles debut (2m, soft) three weeks ago.
Linngari filly; 45-rated on the Flat, managing to beat only a handful of rivals in four starts (1m2f-1m6f); it's very much a case of sink or swim on hurdles debut in a competitive affair on paper; look elsewhere.
Forecasts
Goshen (1/3), Goa Lil (5/1), Thyme White (11/2), Mr Chua (10/1), The Pink'n (10/1), Air Hair Lair (50/1), Arizona Glory (66/1), Tribal Commander (66/1), Brass (100/1)
Both Goa Lil (Nigel Twiston-Davies) and Thyme White (Paul Nicholls) embark on new careers sporting high profile silks. However, the bar is set relatively high by the Gary Moore-trained GOSHEN. He seeks a five-timer (three wins on the Flat) after getting the job done at short odds on hurdles debut at Fontwell (2m1½f) three weeks ago. His hurdling wasn't always the most fluent on that occasion, and this is undoubtedly more of a test of his credentials but it's apparent that his stamina reserves are nigh guaranteed on very similar (soft) ground.
- Goshen
- Thyme White
- Goa Lil
