Never got involved in a pair of National Hunt bumpers last year, and then finished fifth of eight behind Angel Lane (finished second) at Southwell (1m; standard). Difficult task on to reverse the form on that evidence.
Rated 94 over hurdles, but was pulled-up when last seen at Sedgefield (2m4f; soft) last month. Easy to oppose on debut under this code in a race where others looks much more compelling.
SIx-year-old gelding who is by Sea The Stars. Made debut in a National Hunt bumper at Carlisle (2m1f; soft) when beaten a country mile into 13th. This is an entirely different test altogether as he switches to the AW. Impossible to recommend.
Finished a tailed-off last of five over 6f at this track on debut just 14 days ago. Massive step forward required on that evidence, and he is ruled out with confidence until offering more encouragement.
Has shown good progress with each start as his latest effort showed when he finished runner-up at Wolverhampton (1m1f; standard) to a 79-rated rival. Should figure prominently if able to improve again for yard who are having winners.
Unraced son of Epaulette who makes debut. Yard haven't had a winner on the flat for almost a month (had 14 runners in that time). They are not renowned for having winning newcomers either so a watching brief is advised with this one.
Interesting debutante for powerful connections. By Sea The Moon. Cost 300,000gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to four winners who won over trips ranging from 5f-1m. AW should suit and he rates as a major contender first time out.

Forecasts
Yuri Gagarin (2/5), Dawry (9/4), Goethe (3/1), Angel Lane (10/1), Sea Me Win (16/1), Deputy Star (28/1), Bobba Tee (50/1), Drums Of War (66/1), Sixties Coed (80/1)
This looks a particularly weak affair, and it would be nothing other than a disappointment if the pair of John Gosden newcomers in the shape of YURI GAGARIN and Goethe failed to dominate. They have both been gelded ahead of their racecourse debuts, but the former is preferred given he has more of an AW pedigree and is seemingly the stables first-string. As for the rest, Dawry is likely to finish in the placings once again after showing a good level of improvement on each start to date. As should Angel Lane who was comfortably clear of her rivals despite finishing a distant second on her AW debut at Southwell recently.
- Yuri Gagarin
- Goethe
- Dawry
