Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: A W Short(3)| T: F J Flood
14/1
Modest 98-rated hurdler. In rear throughout on chasing debut at Thurles last month when sent off at odds of 100/1 before running accordingly. Tough time ahead.
2
Horse silk
Baby Bellinit40
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: J J Slevin| T: I Madden| D
100/1
Regressing 81-rated handicap hurdler has been completely devoid of form in a number of starts over timber since August. Looks a tall order on chasing introduction.
3
Horse silk
50/1
Without success in the point-to-point ranks before lackluster efforts over hurdles and on chasing debut over C&D in June before a heavy defeat in novice company at Fairyhouse on return to action last month. Looks up against it
4
Horse silk
Batcio26
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: I J McCarthy| T: T M Walsh| OR:  114
9/10
Dual bumper winner last year but failed to sparkle over hurdles before a mixed bag of efforts in three competitive chase starts over a variety of trips since October. This looks a little easier.
5
Horse silk
50/1
Modest 16-race maiden over hurdles who has been finishing down the field in a number of poor efforts since March. Weakened before two out on chasing introduction in a Tipperary beginners contest in October. Hard to fancy.
6
Horse silk
50/1
Regressing 99-rated handicap hurdler the High Chaparral gelding was detached from four out on second start over the larger obstacles at Thurles last month. Others more appealing.
7
Horse silk
Mutadaffeqt14
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: J M Moore| T: G P Cromwell
7/1
Has struggled a bit since winning a novice hurdle at Cork in May including finishing last of nine at Sligo in August. Well held on a couple of occasions since and unlikely to be troubling the judge on first start over fences.
8
Horse silk
Nimby149
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: J S McGarvey| T: R O'Sullivan| OR:  118
12/1
Off the mark at the second time of asking over hurdles in May when in the hands of trainer Dan Skelton. Beaten since but won't have to improve too much on chasing introduction having his first start for new connections.
9
Horse silk
Shedding7
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: M Hamill(3)| T: W J Burke
50/1
Struggling 89-rated handicap hurdler, always behind and never a factor on dismal chasing debut over 2m2f at Thurles last month. Not the most reliable of sorts and others hold stronger claims.
10
Horse silk
Tintown Robin25
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-12| J: C D Maxwell| T: V Halley| CD
8/1
Winner of four of his 39 career starts over hurdles and was winning as recently as July when landing a 2m4f handicap at Wexford. Could turn out to be an interesting debutante on first start over fences.
12
Horse silk
Famous Dayh,t9
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: B Browne(5)| T: O McKiernan
20/1
99-rated handicap hurdler the daughter of Beneficial was well beaten and no impression in a Thurles 2m2f beginners contest on soft ground last month. Drop in trip could suit.
13
Horse silk
20/1
Nine-race maiden in bumper company and in five dismal efforts over hurdles. Encouraging third of eight beaten 65L in a Thurles beginners chase when last seen in October. More likely than some to run her race.
14
Horse silk
Johnnys Girlt18
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-5| J: Simon Torrens(7)| T: N Lee
100/1
Debut point winner on soft/heavy last year, and not devoid of ability on her most recent hurdles start in January. Hard to muster any enthusiasm on the balance of a couple of disastrous starts over fences so far.
15
Horse silk
Rare Deal23
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Phillip Enright| T: R Tyner
33/1
Beneficial mare, of little account in three maiden hurdles and a bumper since rules debut in December before tailing off in a couple of wretched starts over the larger obstacles since October. Hard to place any faith in.
16
Horse silk
Dasmyhoss49
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Flanagan| T: P J Rothwell
5/1
First Reserve: Experienced chaser of six starts where the Court Cave gelding has hit the frame on three occasions. Could be of interest if making the final line-up.

Verdict

Connections appeared to have found the Montmartre gelding BATCIO an ideal opportunity to get off the mark on his 10th career start and the fourth time of asking over the larger obstacles. The seven-year-old can land the spoils ahead of the Ross Sullivan-trained Nimby who won't have to improve too much from his hurdling form on chasing introduction having his first start for new connections. Countess Cathleen, rated 116 over hurdles and the Gavin Cromwell-trained Mutadaffeq appear capable of landing remaining prize money.
