Landed three handicap hurdles in early 2018 but hasn't hit the target since then. Two poor efforts earlier this year prior to much improved fourth last time at Chepstow where ran well for a long way. Not out of it despite shouldering top weight.
Only win came in modest Ludlow maiden hurdle last season at odds of 1/4. Should be better for reappearance rtun when well beaten at Cheltenham in Grade 3 hurdle and is interesting making chase debut for top yard off 3lb lower.
Fair hurdler who finished good fourth to smart Quel Destin in Grade 2 at Cheltenham a year ago. Shaped with plenty of promise after eight-month absence on chase bow at Chepstow recently and should be fitter for that outing.
Won Ascot juvenile hurdle last January but hasn't shown too much in three starts since and was a touch disappointing when well held fourth of five on chasing bow at Warwick in November.
Eased 5lb after pulling up at Aintree recently on seasonal return. Generally disappointing last term and has plenty to prove at present but jockey booking catches the eye and first-time cheekpeces now added.
Hereford novice hurdle winner in November last year but form tailed away in four subsequent starts last campaign. Returns after seven month break and makes chase bow off feasible mark.
Didn't show a great deal in three starts in France and was never at the races on British bow in Bangor novice hurdle in October. Makes chasing debut here and is hard to fancy unless market offers some encouragement.
Forecasts
Vado Forte (2/1), Katpoli (11/4), Monsieur D'Arque (5/1), Massini Man (8/1), Belargus (8/1), Shady Oaks (9/1), Fort De L'Ocean (80/1)
There was little to separate Vado Via and KATPOLI on recent running at Chepstow but preference is marginally for the latter who was having his first run of the term and making his chasing debut. He should be straighter now and will have learned plenty. The two other four-year-olds Belargus and Fort De L'Ocean may do better now chasing , while Monsieur D'Arque had fair hurdles form and could go very well on his first start in this sphere for last year's winning yard. Massini Man is not out of it either returning from a break.
- Katpoli
- Monsieur D'Arque
- Massini Man
