Well held when last seen here in October over 1m2½f but the High Chaparral gelding has a solid record of three from six over C&D. That said, he has not won for sometime and now races off a 16lb lower mark to that of his last success.

Winner of one of his 10 Flat starts on turf. Running well in defeat in a number of starts over the summer and market vibes likely to be the best guide to chances on AW debut.

Not disgraced in a couple of initial starts at this venue over 1m last month. Steps up to this trip for the first time in his 27-race career and worth a check in the market as post time approaches.

Off the mark at the 13th time of asking when landing a 14-runner handicap over C&D last month off a 10lb lower mark. Life more difficult off her revised mark but another bold show likely.

Mixed bag of efforts in a number of Flat starts on turf in the summer. The daughter of Ravens Pass was a well held sixth of nine beaten over 10L on sole start over C&D in January. Looks a tall order on form shown.

Struggling in a number of starts in the spring and on return to action last month suffering a 12L reversal over C&D finishing 11th of the 14 runners. Faces a tough ask in this company.

Daughter of Dawn Approach out of a Dalakhani mare. Four-race maiden posted a career best effort on her latest start over 1m2½f at this track last month running Tartlette to 4½L when finishing second of 14. One for any shortlist.

Course stalwart having his 83rd start at the track. Winner of three of his 38 starts over C&D the Shamardal gelding raises major concerns now racing 24lb lower than his last winning mark.

20-race maiden on turf the daughter of Vocalised finished well down the field over C&D in September before a hint of encouragement over 1m2½f last month. Hard to make a case for.

Regressive 57-rated handicapper on the Flat for trainer Karl Burke until July. Well beaten and never a factor in a couple of starts over 1m and this trip last month for current connections. Looks a little vulnerable.

Miserly return of one win from 21 starts, the daughter of Born To Sea posted a career best effort at this venue over 1m2½f last month finishing fourth of 13 beaten 1¾L in a bunch finish. More likely than some to run her race.

Winner over the larger obstacles in the summer the popular veteran has a solid and consistent record over C&D, chalking up five wins over the combination. Possibly needed the run last month and capable of a bold bid.

12-race maiden ran her best race for sometime when finishing close up in a bunch finish over C&D at the end of October. Well held on latest start over the combination last month but appears capable of grabbing a place.

Dawn Approach colt, half-brother to a winning sprinter. Nothing of note in three career starts on turf so far but worth a market check on first start on the AW and now gelded.

Forecasts

Getaway Queen (10/3), Sharjah (5/1), All Body And Soul (6/1), Solomons Seal (15/2), Cliara (9/1), Santorini Sun (12/1), Solar Wind (12/1), Feisty Katerina (14/1), Amlad (14/1), Monsieur Piquer (16/1), Iron Blue (16/1), Taliyna (16/1), Shake The Bucket (20/1), Trump Card (20/1), El Chico Mejor (25/1), Knuckles Mcginty (50/1), Dragon Roll (66/1)

Verdict

GETAWAY QUEEN can land the spoils in the second despite her 10lb rise for her win over C&D last month. The daughter of Getaway kept on well to get off the mark at the 13th time of asking when landing a 14-runner handicap two weeks ago and can hold off the attentions of Taliyna who produced a career best effort over 1m2½f in the early part of last month. C&D winners Sharjah and the veteran Shake The Bucket have both been hinting at a return to form recently.
  1. Getaway Queen
  2. Taliyna
  3. Sharjah
