Won for the fourth time over hurdles when landing the Grade 2 Lismullen hurdle over 2m4f on soft to heavy ground beating Apple's Jade over 9L. Another bold bid likely.

Running with credit in defeat both over hurdles and the larger obstacles last season in graded company. Not seen since finishing behind Unowhatimeanharry in the Grade 1 Stayers hurdle at Punchestown in May. Looks a tall order.

Top class stayer, came back from an absence to land the Stayers Hurdle at Cheltenham before a gallant second in the Grade 1 Stayers hurdle at Punchestown when last seen in action in the spring of 2018. Not to be underestimated.

Below-par effort when finishing over 9L behind Bacardys in the Grade 2 Lismullen hurdle at Navan in a race she had won the previous two years. Needs to bounce back to land this contest for the fourth year running.

Won a Thurles Listed contest in December last year, going on to win at Grade 3 level before a facile victory in the Grade 1 Mares' novice hurdle over C&D in the spring. Won easily on seasonal debut here. Leading player.

Forecasts

Honeysuckle (9/10), Apple's Jade (5/2), Bacardys (5/1), Penhill (11/1), Davids Charm (12/1), Killultagh Vic (33/1)

Verdict

The fast progressing HONEYSUCKLE for the Henry De Bromhead yard can land the spoils to win her second Grade 1 contest following on from her win over C&D in the Spring. The five-year-old had a gentle seasonal introduction winning by 11L and can hold off the attentions of Apple's Jade as the Gordon Elliott-trained mare attempts to repair her tarnished reputation and win this contest for the fourth year in a row. The Willie Mullins yard last won this race in 2015 with Arctic Fire and his pair, Barcardys and Penhill should not be taken lightly.
