Won twice at Haydock during the summer before disappointing at Leopardstown in a much tougher race in October; suspicion is that he needs to drop a few more pounds to get back to winning ways but respected nevertheless.

Goes particularly well at this track and has showed his well being after a short break by two excellent performances over an extended six furlongs; should be suited by this step up in trip and looks a proper candidate.

Has struggled slightly since winning at Haydock in September; return to this trip will help but more needed against some in-form rivals.

Was in wonderfully consistent form over the summer and confirmed his well being when running creditably on his return at Kempton recently; will be more ready here and is a very interesting contender.

Generally consistent but needs to find plenty with some of his opponents on his debut on this surface; probably high enough in the weights at present.

Verdict

POWER LINK has been in fine form of late and given his ability on the surface is given the nod despite not being guaranteed to stay this trip. The biggest danger could be seven furlong specialist Finoah who needs to bounce back from a below par run at Leopardstown last time out but certainly has the ability to give the selection most to do. Another who should run well but who is not guaranteed to stay is Baby Steps. There was plenty to like about his most recent performance behind Power Link and should go well again.
  1. Power Link
  2. Finoah
  3. Baby Steps
