$140,000 yearling; half-brother to three winners in America; Discreetly Elusive (6f, Dirt), Real Discreet (6f, AW) and Elusive Midnight (1m, Dirt). Yard continue in fine fettle and had a newcomer win earlier in the week and is respected on debut.
85,000 gns yearling; dam won on second start over 6f and was placed in the Lowther (Group 2). Another leading yard who've have plenty of winning newcomers and continue in good form, although jockey bookings suggest Sheriffmuir is first choice.
Related to 7½f Swedish winner Showy Shaun and 2m hurdle winner Still Alive. Yard only had one winner from 17 runners under both codes to date and others are readily preferred.
Beaten 20L (1m) and 16L (1m4f) on both starts here back in August. Drops back to 1m after an absence and is best watched with handicaps an option after this outing.

Full-brother to US Grade 1 winner Avenge and cost $995,000 as a yearling. Returned from a 440-day absence when second at Lingfield (1m) two months ago which matched his debut effort last year. Open to further improvement and sets the form standard.
A seven-race maiden with an official rating of just 38 who has tried a variety of trips and a range of headgear all to no avail. Out of her depth.
A daughter of Nathaniel who cost connections 5,000 gns earlier this year. Tailed off on debut in a Huntingdon bumper before an even bigger defeat (61L) at Southwell (1m4f, Fibresand) 24 days ago. A similar fate awaits.
400,000 gns half-sister to high-class Group 1 winner Barney Roy. Signs of promise on C&D debut which she duly built on at Chelmsford (1m) last time, finishing second to a filly now rated 105. Yard brings them on steadily; further improvement likely.
Cheap purchase (4,000 gns) earlier in the year (ex-Goldolphin); half-sister to several winners. Two poor efforts so far in selling/claiming company and, stepping up in grade here, unlikely to get involved.

An interesting heat for older maidens and the beautifully-bred QATAR QUEEN is the pick to get off the mark at third attempt. She took a big step forward last time behind a potential pattern-class filly for a yard whose inmates improve with racing. The big danger is Sheriffmuir, who has shown a fair level of form in two runs, 440-days apart, whilst Qaabil is already on his third trainer but ran a career best on British debut for William Haggas at Chelmsford recently. Any market positivity for the Varian newcomer, Brenbar, should be taken into account.
