Followed up a soft-to-heavy ground maiden hurdle victory at Wexford (2m) in March with a good 15L second on handicap debut at Fairyhouse (2m4f, good-to-yielding) on handicap debut the following month. Notable runner on stable debut.
Handicap hurdle winner at Doncaster (good) over an extended 2m3f in March and placed on all three subsequent outings. Debuts for this stable on first start since finishing 5L third over 2m7f at Market Rasen (good) in May.
Successful three times over hurdles most recently over 2m1f on heavy ground at Cartmel at the end of May. Held in four subsequent starts including twice here this autumn and is probably best watched at present.
Good third over an extended 2m2f on stable debut at Exeter (good) last month but disappointed when fifth at Carlisle (2m4f, soft) having been sent off odds-on favourite. Cheekpieces tried for the first time on first start since wind surgery.
Stepped up on hurdling debut fourth when winning by 8L in a six runner 2m4f maiden hurdle at Hexham (heavy) earlier this month. Worth a check in the market on handicap debut.
Impressive 30L winner of a small field maiden point-to-point in May last year and registered his best effort over hurdles when 6L third at Chepstow (2m, soft) earlier this month. One to note on handicap debut.
Successful on soft ground at Sedgefield (2m5f) in January but has struggled on all three completed starts subsequently and has to put an unseat earlier this month at the same venue behind him if he's to take this event.
Making his seasonal debut when 19½L sixth in a 2m event on handicap debut here last month. Had wind surgery since and is worth a check in the market in this contest.
Winner on soft ground at Huntingdon (2m) in January last year and stepped up on debut for this yard when 14L eighth over this trip at Bangor (good) in early August. Cheekpieces tried for the first time following a break.
Debuted for this yard with a short-head defeat in a mares only handicap hurdle over 2m5f at Sedgefield (soft) earlier this month. More needed following a 2lb rise in the weights.
Point-to-point bumper winner in the spring and best effort in two hurdles starts came when 17L third over 2m at Hexham (heavy) last time out. Interesting to see how he performs on handicap debut.
Forecasts
Thomas Macdonagh (7/2), Higgs (4/1), Generation Gap (5/1), Enfin Phil (5/1), Broughtons Admiral (5/1), Blaster Yeats (10/1), Turtle Wars (20/1), Christopher Robin (25/1), Lostnfound (28/1), Zig Zag (33/1), Nicely Indeed (50/1)
GENERATION GAP registered his best effort for this yard when placed on seasonal debut last time out and he can make a winning handicap debut with victory in this conditional jockeys contest. Top weight Christopher Robin showed good form in Ireland for his previous stable and he can take second on his first start for this yard while third place can go to Broughtons Admiral who is making his first appearance for a stable who do well with their recruits from other yards.
- Generation Gap
- Christopher Robin
- Broughtons Admiral
