Well beaten in three starts in maiden/novice company on the Flat including when fifth of seven over 1m at Southwell earlier this month. Probably best watched on hurdling debut.
Showed decent placed form on the Flat including when 2L second of three at Newmarket (1m4f, good-to-firm) in July. Changed stables since and is one to note on hurdles debut for a yard with a 23% strike-rate (3/13) of late.
Ran well to finish a close third in a 2m event at Hexham (good-to-soft) when making his hurdles debut at the start of June. Had three subsequent multiple winners behind him that day and holds strong claims on return from a break.
Placed four times on the Flat but proved a disappointment when 24L sixth at Musselburgh (good-to-soft) when sent off favourite for hurdling debut earlier this month. Likely capable of better.
Struggled in two starts over hurdles on soft ground at Sedgefield to date including in a first time tongue tie (retained) just under three weeks ago.
Built on two promising Flat efforts when winning by 6L in a three runner 1m4f maiden at Southwell last time out. Hood worn for the first time that day is retained for this hurdles debut.
Successful at two and best effort since came when a close fourth at Beverley (1m2f, soft) in first time hood (cheekpieces worn for the first time here) in September. Switched to hurdles having disappointed on the AW last month.
Returning from nearly a year off the track when 22L fourth on hurdling debut over C&D on good-to-soft ground last month. More needed if he's to take this event.
Victorious by 5L over an extended 1m3f in a bumper at Corlay (heavy) in June. Third and fourth have both won in that sphere since and she is a leading contender on hurdling and stable debut for top connections.
Held off a mark of 55 in a 1m6f AW handicap at Chelmsford in July and is probably best watched at present having been beaten 36L when fifth at Fakenham (2m, good) on hurdles debut last month.
15 race maiden on the Flat and finished a well held sixth in a classified event over 1m at Southwell earlier this month when returning from a break. Others make more appeal on hurdles debut.
Forecasts
Gaot (6/4), Artistic Language (7/2), Goobinator (4/1), Boreas Duke (7/1), Bullion Boss (10/1), My Strong Man (16/1), Peripherique (25/1), Major Snugfit (33/1), Abwab (33/1), You Little Beauty (100/1), George Hastings (200/1)
GAOT showed a liking for ground with give in it when winning her sole bumper start in France and she can get off the mark at the first time of asking over hurdles in the opening race on the card. Boreas Duke has been absent since a promising placed effort on his hurdles debut in June and he can finish one place better by claiming second spot in this event while third can go the way of Artistic Language who represens a stable who have been in decent form of late.
- Gaot
- Boreas Duke
- Artistic Language
