Chepstow winner in April and had a mixed bag of form but put in good effort to finish 7L third in 2m Ffos Las handicap hurdle earlier this month. May come on for that effort and respected back over fences.

Winner at Worcester back in August and running modestly in handicap company so far with latest third - beaten 21L - coming at Huntingdon (2m). More needed off tough handicap mark but claim is useful.

Age: 7|  Weight: 11-7| J: Kielan Woods| T: B I Case| OR:  100

Useful sort a couple of seasons ago but of sorts recently, including when pulling up in 2m4f Huntingdon hurdle earlier this month. Plenty to prove on second start over fences.

Cock A Doodle Doo13
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-4| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: Miss V Williams| OR:  97| D

Poor record over hurdles (1-22) and didn't shape the best over fences when 49L fifth at Ludlow (2m) just under two weeks ago. Will need to step up on that effort to be competitive.

Fairy Pol23
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: James Davies| T: Henry Oliver| OR:  96| D
10/1
Only one win in her career to date and largely disappointing this season, including 56L defeat over 2m5f here on chasing debut. Faces a tough ask in this.

Lots Of Luck19
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: David Bass| T: K Bailey & M Nicholls| OR:  90
15/2
Sent off outsider for each start to date over hurdles and was well-beaten 12th at Warwick earlier this month. Bred to be a chase but best watched on fences debut.

Age: 7|  Weight: 10-11| J: Thomas Bellamy| T: D J Jeffreys| OR:  90

Winner for this yard in August but well-held since. Host of mistakes cost him on chase debut at Huntingdon (2m4f) last time out and jumping will need to hold up here if he is to be competitive.

Templiert128
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-9| J: Dave Crosse| T: Mrs K Stephens| OR:  88| D
25/1
Lost his way for previous trainer and not showing signs of that changing this season. Plenty more required on recent 28L defeat at Taunton (2m) on chase debut. Others preferred.
9
Horse silk
Babytaggleh12
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-4| J: Shane Quinlan(5)| T: D L Williams| OR:  83
5/1
Most experienced sort over fences in the field, finishing placed four times over obstacles including at Ffos Las two starts ago. Refused to jump the last at Southwell (2m4f) but should do better at the minimum trip.
10
Horse silk
Hume Lough13
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-4| J: Lee Edwards| T: S-J Davies| OR:  83
14/1
Generally poor performer in the Irish point-to-point and rules sphere and finished a tired fourth on recent chasing debut at Ludlow (2m). Will need to irk out some more improvement in this.
11
Horse silk
Clondaw Samp1,t143
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-0| J: Tabitha Worsley(5)| T: R Dickin| OR:  74
50/1
Failed to show much in point-to-points or under rules and was recently seen finishing a tailed off last of 13 over C&D in October. Makes little to no appeal in this contest.

Forecasts

Babytaggle (5/1), Delface (11/2), Petrucci (11/2), Pulp Fiction (6/1), Throckley (6/1), Lots Of Luck (15/2), Cock A Doodle Doo (9/1), Fairy Pol (10/1), Hume Lough (14/1), Templier (25/1), Clondaw Sam (50/1)

Verdict

A poor-looking contest, preference is for DELFACE, who on form sets the standard and shaped promisingly to take third - and wasn't beaten far - at Exeter last time. He may of been in need of that run too so entitled to strip fitter in this. Bar disappointing at Southwell last time, Babytaggle usually runs to his mark and if putting that effort behind him could be the main danger, while the likes of Throckley and Petrucci have the chance to recover some form after generally disappointing chasing debuts.
  1. Delface
  2. Babytaggle
  3. Throckley
