Broke his maiden over hurdles at Cartmel (2m1f) two runs ago where he was a comfortable 8L winner. Was unable to follow that up last time at Ayr (2m) as he was fifth of seven. Has been eased 2lb. One to consider.
Prevailed in a bumper at the second attempt at Ffos Las (2m), justifying going off as the 11/8 favourite. He ran on well in the closing stages of that contest. Big player on his hurdles debut here.
Was a winner of a point-to-point at Aghabullogue (3m) last time where he justified going off as the 7/4 favourite. Set for his debut under Rules here on his first start since January. One for the shortlist.
Scored four times on the Flat. His latest outing was at Musselburgh (1m4½f) where he was fourth of six. Set for his first appearance over hurdles here where he can't be discounted.
Has been well held on his two bumper appearances, including last time at Worcester (2m) when he was ninth of 12 after going off at 40/1. Set for his first outing over obstacles here. Will need to improve.
Failed to score on the Flat, while he has been well beaten in three appearances over hurdles. He was seventh of 10 at Hexham (2m) earlier this month as a 150/1 shot. Needs to take a huge stride forward.
His sole success on the Flat came over 2m at Ripon in August 2018. He was ninth of 12 at Catterick in a Flat race last month, a long way off the winner. This will be his first run over hurdles. Best to watch here.
Forecasts
Presentandcounting (1/1), Induno (11/8), The Steward (10/1), Stonific (11/1), The Honeydipper (28/1), Urban Spirit (66/1), Trois Bon Amis (100/1)
INDUNO was a winner in a bumper last time at Ffos Las and he can follow that up with victory here on his hurdles debut as he looked a smart prospect in that success. The Steward was an emphatic winner at Cartmel two runs back and will be in contention if he repeats that run, while point-to-point winner Presentandcounting can put in a strong performance on his first appearance under Rules.
