11/4
Returned to the track from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a bold show until the 17th fence at Warwick (3m1½f, good to soft) 16 days ago; plenty of positives to take from that run, and continues to ease in the weights; fair chance.

Bob Ford212
Age: 12|  Weight: 11-9| J: Harry Teal| T: A Ralph| OR:  115| D
11/4
Historically is strongest with plenty of cut underfoot, albeit has won just the once since December 2015; pulled up on both subsequent starts since finishing 4L third to Cougar's Gold here (2m4f, heavy) in March; first run for 212 days.

Lac Sacreb,t224
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-1| J: Ben Jones| T: J L Flint| OR:  107| BF| D
5/2
Hacked up when winning by 12L at Ffos Las (3m, soft) in April, and predictably hit with a hike in the weights (12lb higher); was beaten by 1¼L off this mark in the Highland National at Perth (3m6½f, soft) in April 2018; sets the standard.

Oneida Tribeb16
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-3| J: Tabitha Worsley| T: R Dickin| OR:  95| D
11/4
Rated 11lb higher when finishing a shock 40-1 second to Ange Des Malberaux at Warwick (3m1½f, good to soft) in January; soundly beaten in all four subsequent starts; others more appealing in a tricky race.

Forecasts

Lac Sacre (5/2), Bob Ford (11/4), Goodtoknow (11/4), Oneida Tribe (11/4), Ceann Sibheal (12/1)

Verdict

Ceann Sibheal is a C&D winner for Warren Greatrex, while the John Flint-trained Lac Sacre appears to be the form horse in a somewhat muddling affair. If able to reproduce the kind of form which saw him finish second to Chic Name in the Highland National at Perth (3m6½f) in April 2018 he'll go mightily close from an identical handicap mark. However, it's probably worth taking a slight risk on the top-weight GOODTOKNOW who demonstrated that the fire still burns within on return to action at Warwick. In his prime (January 2017) he was a 6L second to none other than One For Arthur in the Grade 3 Classic Chase at Warwick (3m5½f, soft).
  1. Goodtoknow
  2. Lac Sacre
  3. Bob Ford
