Only runner in this field who has won a race over fences when successful at Ffos Las back in June. Returned from short break with another fine effort when runner-up in a handicap at Uttoxeter (2m; soft). More solid than most in this field.
Pulled-up on seasonal return for new yard at Sandown (2m4f; heavy) when really struggling and tailed off. Lightly raced though, and now starts out over fences. Has something to prove after that recent disappointment.
Only had the two starts last season, and she hasn't been seen since December when fifth at Fakenham (2m; good to soft). Dismounted after crossing the line then, so something obviously went amiss. Risky proposition on this chasing/seasonal return.
Difficult to see her figuring prominently in this contest after she finished last on stable/chase debut at Sandown (2m4f; soft) on what was her return to action. Highly doubtful she will have a say in this.
Without doubt the class horse of this race, and she is 18lb clear of her nearest rival in this race on official ratings. Recent form leaves a lot to be desired, but this is a drop in grade and these terms are very favourable.
Newcomer to chasing who finished fourth at Worcester (2m4f; good to soft) in a fixed brush hurdle last month. Had notched a quick-fire double over the smaller obstacles prior to that. Each-way player at least in what is an open race.
Forecasts
Momella (2/1), Little Light (9/4), Queen's Magic (5/2), Grania O'Malley (8/1), Annie Odds (20/1), Glorvina (40/1)
Although she was pulled-up when in the process of running a shocker on her chasing debut recently, MOMELLA is the class act in this field. She is on somewhat of a retrieval mission now, but is comfortably clear of this field on ratings and would be giving lumps of weight away if this were a handicap. She can get her career back on track ahead of Grania O'Malley. The Evan Williams-trained daughter of Beat Hollow has been hard to fault at a lower level in recent months and does have valuable chasing experience. Queen's Magic ought to have a future over fences, and can grab a place after running encouragingly in a fixed brush race when last seen.
