Golan gelding. Slowly improved over his four point-to-point outings culminating in winning a four-runner affair in May. Last of 11 beaten 87L on chasing debut last month.

Seven-race maiden over jumps. Weakened from two out on chasing debut in a Fairyhouse 2m5f beginners contest on heavy ground earlier this month. Plenty of room for improvement but looks up against it in this company.
Already set a couple of difficult tasks over fences since his debut last month finishing behind Champagne Classic at Fairyhouse and Samcro at Down Royal at the start of the month.
Grade 1 winning hurdler over 3m at the Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals last term. Should make his presence felt on expectant debut over fences.

Lightly raced gelding has clearly had his training problems in the last 18-months. Possibly needed the run on return to action at Galway last month and best watched on second start over fences.

Gelding by Kapgarde out of a Turgeon mare. Chucked in at the deep end somewhat on debut earlier this month in a Navan maiden hurdle over 2m4f won by Andy Dufresne. Best watched on chasing introduction.

Off the mark at the fifth time of asking in a Cork maiden over 2½m in March before pulling up when upped in class in a Grade 1 contest at the Punchestown festival when last seen in May. Tough ask on chasing debut.

Edged out stablemate Voix Des Tiep to win Limerick maiden in December over 2m4f on soft ground, with Albert Bartlett winner Minella Indo in third. Interesting chasing prospect from leading yard.
Ran well in defeat in five starts over hurdles hitting the frame on no less than four occasions. Last seen in April and this looks a tall order on chasing introduction.

Facile winner at the Cheltenham Festival in 2018 when landing a Grade 1 mares hurdle contest by 18L. Disappointed in the Champion hurdle at the Cheltenham festival last term but appears to be an exciting chasing recruit.

Forecasts

Laurina (3/10), Minella Indo (3/1), Small Farm (14/1), The Gunner Murphy (14/1), Monkshood (16/1), Star Max (16/1), School Boy Hours (20/1), Lotto Numbers (50/1), Royal Reve (66/1), Life Isfor Living (66/1), Gold Sun (100/1)

Verdict

159-rated over hurdles, LAURINA can make a winning debut over the larger obstacles here for the owner/trainer combination of Sullivan Bloodstock and Willie Mullins. The daughter of Spanish Moon has demolished Listed opposition over this trip in the past and can see off the attentions of Minella Indo for the Henry De Bromhead yard as the exciting gelding makes his chasing introduction. The Gigginstown House Stud-owned pair Monkshood and Star Max provide interesting back-up.
  1. Laurina

  3. Monkshood
