Always in rear on belated rules debut over C&D in September. Looks to have plenty to work on before becoming of interest.

Won a Southwell bumper on debut in September 2018, but hasn't progressed from that and well beat on Flat bow at Salisbury in September over this trip.

Dark Angel filly who cost €180,000 as a yearling, she finished a moderate third over 1m here on debut last month and will need to improve to better that now.

Forecasts

Mons Star (1/6), Fields Of Dreams (11/4), Sea It My Way (5/1), Engrave (8/1), The Rocket Park (20/1), Byron Green (50/1), Big Bang (66/1), Ed Cuvee (66/1)

Verdict

MONS STAR is well-bred and showed enough on debut at Newmarket in April to suggest he'll win races. He failed to build on that next time at Chester but wouldn't be the first to struggle on the Roodee and should open his account after a break. Fields of Dreams flopped at Kempton on handicap debut but can be given another chance while the filly Engrave should improve on her debut effort at this venue last month and be competitive.
  1. Mons Star
  2. Engrave
  3. Fields Of Dreams
