Took six attempts to get off the mark in Irish point-to-points and so far over hurdles hasn't impressed (failed to complete twice). Would need to step forward markedly to make even a mild impression in this.
Well held in three bumpers for David Loughnane and subsequently sold for £3,500. Cheekpieces added for the first-time on stable debut (yet to have a winner); hard to build a solid case for.
Cost £10,000 after landing an Irish point-to-point at the fourth attempt; half-sister to 3 winners, including fairly useful hurdler Shanroe Tic Tec. Makes her Rules/hurdles debut, market may provide a guide to expectations.
Runner-up on her sole Irish point-to-point start but comfortably held in two recent hurdles runs at up to 2m4f. Failed to improve from first to second run in this sphere; connections will be looking for a mark after this run.
Has some fair form in bumpers (thought good enough to run in a Listed event). Enough promise shown in her hurdles debut at Worcester (2m4f) in May to suggest that she can make an impact returning from a break having had a wind op.
Won two bumpers, one under Rules the other in the point-to-point sphere for her former yard. Failed to live up to that form on her only hurdles starts so far, remains in good hands and the form of her last race has been well advertised.
Showed more than she did in bumpers when making her hurdling debut last time out at Uttoxeter (2m, soft); was well positioned in that race. Steps up in trip now although she didn't appear to obviously needing this increase in distance.
Cost £185,000 after finishing second on her sole Irish point-to-point start to The Glancing Queen (showed some smart subsequent bumper form). Shaped as if better for the run on her Rules debut; better expected this time around.
Forecasts
Lily The Pink (7/4), Easter Gold (9/4), Delight Of Dubai (4/1), Midnightreflection (15/2), Early Days (12/1), Tippingituptonancy (20/1), Asking A Lot (40/1), Candy Lou (100/1)
Just one division this year but the winner of last year’s two – Lucy Wadham – has a good chance of following up again with EASTER GOLD who shaped well enough on her Worcester hurdling debut having shown some fair bumper form. Lily The Pink didn’t live up to her bumper form when making her hurdling debut (needs to jump better) but she should enjoy this test a little better. Both Midnightreflection (may not need this trip) and Delight In Dubai deserve a mention although of greater interest is Tippingituptonancy who would have a great chance if she repeated her point-to-point second to The Glancing Queen who went on to prove herself a top-class bumper horse last season.
