Finished fourth in Grade 2 bumper at Aintree (2m1f, good to soft) when last seen in April after winning at Thurles previously. Under a penalty here but certainly a leading contender.
Penalised for his narrow C&D score here last month so must improve again but that is more than likely at this stage given connections and he has to be on the shortlist.
May point-to-point winner in fourth start makes Rules debut here. Yard have leading candidate Slige Dala in the race so the market will be a good guide.
Newcomer by Thewayyouare looks best watched on racecourse debut based on pedigree and stable record.

Stowaway gelding a close second when falling at the last in lone point-to-point after which he was bought by connections for £140,000. Midfield on debut at Galway last month but suspect there is much more to come now.

Windsor Knot gelding finished fourth to The Bosses Oscar who runs here on Saturday at Thurles on debut. Step forward needed but that was an encouraging start for sure.

Well beaten in a bumper and maiden hurdle after ordinary point-to-point form. Best avoided until seeing some encouragement.

Son of Sholokhov stayed on strongly when going down by just ½L at Killarney on debut in August. Will soon be winning races based on that and probably the one to beat here.

Not seen enough in two ordinary efforts at Galway and Cork so far so remains best watched.

Forecasts

Slige Dala (5/2), Fantasio D'alene (11/4), Battle Of Actium (7/2), Dewcup (4/1), Goaheadwiththeplan (9/1), Beauchamp Bagenal (18/1), Knot On Time (20/1), Kilashee (33/1), Puerto Calero (50/1)

Verdict

Having run with great promise on debut SLIGE DALA can go one better with his two most feared rivals both under 7lb penalties. The biggest danger may prove to be Dewcup who ran in a hot race at Aintree when last seen in April. Recent scorer Fantasio D'alene should also go close.
  1. Slige Dala
  2. Dewcup
  3. Fantasio D'alene
