In decent form in the summer but ran an ordinary race when midfield latest in the Munster National at Limerick. This is easier but little in recent starts to suggest him well treated.
3m1f winner at Kilbeggan ran well to be second next off this mark over the same trip before finishing third latest back over hurdles. Should be in the shake-up once again.
Disqualified after winning a Fairyhouse handicap chase over 2m7½f in December last year. Tired fourth last time out at Galway but may have needed that so better expected now.
Won with a bit in hand over 2m4f at Wexford on heavy ground last month; the third chase win of this low-mileage six-year-old's career. Every chance he remains on the up so has to be respected here upped 7lb.
Very lightly raced since winning a 2015 beginners chase and off again since unseating early at Naas in March. Risky proposition.
Over two years since his lone chase success and although his Munster National fourth latest was a respectable he still looks at the handicapper's mercy.
Ended last season in poor form after winning at Cork back in May. Hopefully freshened up by a break now but comes with plenty of risks.
Not seen since February 2018 and yet to hit the frame in six starts over fences. Well worth a second look on return to action for patient and respected connections.
Was back from a 428-day absence when well down the field at Roscommon in September. Similar level at Wexford latest and must up his game now to be involved.
Ended a four year and eight month wait for his second win latest when winning with plenty in hand over C&D; a first ever chase success. 10lb higher here but should go close if arriving in similar form.
Three-time winner but pulled up on return and last of nine behind Punches Cross since at Wexford so hard to fancy here.
Forecasts
Gwencily Berbas (9/2), Rooster Byron (5/1), Punches Cross (6/1), Freewheelin Dylan (7/1), Deputy's Pass (8/1), Roxboro Road (8/1), Fruits Of Glory (8/1), Killer Miller (12/1), Mick The Jiver (12/1), Full Cry (14/1), Minella Till Dawn (20/1)
Recent Wexford scorer PUNCHES CROSS has a decent chance to follow up in a race where few of his rivals appear to have much help from the handicapper at present. Consistent sort Freewheelin Dylan is in decent form and may prove the greatest danger ahead of un-prolific recent C&D scorer Fruits Of Glory.
- Punches Cross
- Freewheelin Dylan
- Fruits Of Glory
