Drifted but ran well at Galway when last seen, asking a few questions of the market leader there. Drop in trip a concern here, however, especially nudged up by 3lb.
Ran well on his chase debut at Sligo, but not as good last time when a distant runner-up at Down Royal. Probably has place claims again, but needs to find some improvement to win this.
Trip and ground fine for this locally-trained eight-year-old who sports a new headgear combination here. Respectable effort over hurdles on his reappearance, and he is an each-way player now chasing again.
Multiple Tramore winner at up to 2m5f over both hurdles and fences, including on testing ground. Added a Clonmel chase success when last seen in February, for which he is up 5lb on this reappearance. Much respected.
Won a Fairyhouse beginners' chase (2m1f, good) in January, and had also won a maiden hurdle there on testing ground previously. Well held in a handicap from this mark last time, but that was over 3m2f and he is a player if he can bounce back.
Looking exposed and has plenty to find with Global Jackpot on their Down Royal running. Conditions this testing are also a concern.
If at his best, he would be a player in this field, but there hasn't been much to cheer about for him this year, and others are readily preferred on recent evidence.
Well held at Down Royal last time out, when a couple of runners here were ahead of him. Hard to see him being good enough to reverse those placings.
Triple chase winner at up to 2m3½f, including on soft ground. Arrives in reasonable recent form and not difficult to see him picking up further prize money in this line-up.
Forecasts
Uisce Beatha (3/1), Seskin Flyer (4/1), Sumos Novios (9/2), Blast Of Koeman (9/2), Global Jackpot (8/1), Reach Up (10/1), Just Get Cracking (11/1), Powersbomb (16/1), Drumconnor Lad (22/1)
Moderate fayre where the return to this sort of trip looks ideal for UISCE BEATHA, who is taken to get back to winning ways at the main expense of Global Jackpot. Seskin Flyer and Sumos Novios are not ruled out.
- Uisce Beatha
- Global Jackpot
- Seskin Flyer
