Ran well on his last three outings; getting his head in front at Southwell (5f, Fibresand) last week. Has also won over C&D but has only once won off a higher mark this and it was over two years ago. Likely to make a bold bid but vulnerable.

Won off 3lb lower at Bath (5f, good to firm) in August but hasn't been quite able to match that in three starts since, despite running her race. Has won over C&D previously but will need everything to fall right from her wide draw.

Both wins have come over 6f, most recently at Brighton two months ago off 2lb lower. Has ran creditably in defeat in three runs since and both the drop in grade and her prominent running style are positives.

Has won here previously and managed to land a Chelmsford handicap (6f, Polytrack) in August. Hasn't matched that in four subsequent runs and found things happening too quickly on 5f debut here last time. Yard struggling for winners at present.

Six-time winner between 5f-7f; landed a Yarmouth handicap three runs back and was narrowly denied over C&D by Coronation Cottage three weeks ago. Up 2lb and and up in grade also which will make life more difficult.

Won on seasonal debut back in April but after a spell in the doldrums, she bounced back to win over C&D last time, beating Dark Side Dream by ½L. Won twice off this mark in the past so a 4lb rise shouldn't be a barrier to a bold bid for a follow-up.

Eleven-time winner who scored narrowly at Chelmsford (5f) three runs ago. Hasn't quite matched that in his subsequent outings and this mark seems beyond him at this point in his career.

Won over C&D in first-time blinkers two starts ago before finishing third behind Coronation Cottage here the following week under a penalty. Is now 1lb higher again and he should make another bold bid.

Appreciated the drop in grade when winning a C&D seller 17 days ago. Joined this yard subsequently and is competitively handicapped on his best but yard struggling for winners of late.

Has built up a long losing sequence stretching back to July 2018 when he won on just his second career start. Since then it's been a tale of inconsistency and mainly disappointment despite falling to a good mark; needs others to falter.

From a yard struggling for form this year (1-110); produced some solid enough efforts on occasions but it can't be ignored that his losing sequence is growing. Some positives from his last few starts; enthusiasm is tempered overall by stable form.

Forecasts

Lethal Angel (9/4), Zapper Cass (9/2), Longroom (13/2), Three Little Birds (7/1), Shepherd's Purse (8/1), Princely (8/1), Dark Side Dream (14/1), Coronation Cottage (16/1), Creek Harbour (20/1), Tan (25/1), Red Stripes (33/1)

Verdict

The first three home from a C&D handicap on 17 October are all likely to be involved again. CORONATION COTTAGE came home in front that day, which was a return to form, and she has won off this revised mark twice before. Dark Side Dream was touched off that day and is likely to give his running whilst Shepherd's Purse improved for the blinkers the last twice and is still fairly handicapped. Lethal Angel has been running well in better races recently and this drop in grade will suit if handling the drop in trip.
  1. Coronation Cottage
  2. Shepherd's Purse
  3. Lethal Angel
