Decent at his best. Best of three runs last season was on his reappearance at Kelso, over fences, but blotted his copybook at Cheltenham and was well held when last seen at Aintree in April. Trip/ground ideal, but has a bit to prove.
Still 1lb higher than his last hurdles win 19-months ago. Looked like he may be nearing the end of his losing run when under 4L second over C&D (soft) on his reappearance. Has claims for trainer who won this race last year.
Useful at his best over fences last season and acts on testing ground. Well held on his reappearance, which is a concern because he usually runs well when fresh. On a competitive mark if he can bounce back.
Well treated on old form and a C&D winner. Lost his way a bit last season, but has won when fresh and would be very interesting if supported.
Ended a 12-race losing run when scoring on his second start for this trainer at Hexham (2m7½f, soft) last month. 6lb rise in this field will ask some serious questions, but can't rule him out.
Ended last season with a win over fences at Newcastle (2m7½f, heavy), when 11lb lower. Has won here over the equivalent chase trip, but has never won when fresh or in five previous attempts under today's pilot.
2-11 over hurdles, one win being here (2m, good to soft) as a novice in 2017. 0-6 in handicaps in this discipline, however, and probably has place claims at best from this mark.
Dual course winner (including 1m7f chase, soft). Stays this trip in soft ground. Went close in a weaker race at Southwell latest. Up 2lb for that, but not written off under feather weight.

Sakhee's City (7/2), Applaus (4/1), One For Harry (4/1), Mount Mews (6/1), Ryedale Racer (13/2), Newberry New (8/1), Blue Hussar (12/1), Eviscerating (14/1), Cool Mix (18/1)
Mount Mews is the class act here. He has been given a chance, and he does go well when fresh, so it would not be a big surprise if he left behind his spring form on this occasion. However, he does have that to prove. Cool Mix is in a similar boat after his reappearance run and preference is for SAKHEE'S CITY, who ran well here last time. One For Harry would be feared if ready first time, while Ryedale Racer is not ruled out.
